She could feel Maplepaw tensing slightly and gave her a brisk lick on the ear "You didn't interrupt anything don't worry" she stated softly before turning back towards Brairnose "We will be back soon!" she meowed.

Maplepaw-Leafclan

Maplepaw was reassured by Riverpool's words, but her antisocial personality still made her uncomfortable. She padded after the Leafclan Medicine cat, wondering what it might be like to become one. Maplepaw's dream had always been to become a Warrior, but now she was feeling rather conflicted. "Excuse me, Riverpool?" She said quietly. "W-what is it like to be a Medicine cat?"

Riverpool looked down at the young kit slightly shocked, but smiled none the less "It's wonderful. I wanted to be a medicine cat at two moons old. I knew it was the path for me. You are beyond the clan boundries. You converse with StarClan and our warrior ancestors stand by you every step of the way. You also learn a vast knowledge of herbs to help your clanmates... but it's not always the easiest choice. I gave up a lot to be a medicine cat... I can not take a mate or have kits and even if I feel the urge to stand beside my clanmates I can not. I can not help them fight tooth and claw I only help them heal so that they may continue to serve out their days as a warrior. But I wouldn't give it up for the world" she purred, glancing down at the young she-cat "Why do you ask?" she meowed curiously.

Maplepaw listened to the whole story, quite intrigued. "O-oh... N-no reason." She stuttered, looked away. Would it be the best for her to be a Warrior, or a Medicine cat? Maplepaw didn't know. "Why did you become Medicine cat?" She meowed. She'd caught the part where Riverpool said how young she was when she decided, but Maplepaw couldn't understand how she knew.

Riverpool glanced down at the young she-cat "I had always had an interest in herbs. My mother used to say if she couldn't find me I would be in the Medicine Cat den, sniffing every herb... but it was more than that. I realized I wasn't that into the warrior thing. I'd play fight with my siblings but it didn't interest me as much as helping my clan mates. Even as a kit I would wander into the Elder's den and help with their ticks. It always made me feel good to see my clan healthy rather than injuring another cat." she meowed, his tail tip twitching.

Maplepaw nodded, looking ahead. As the conversation went on, she found herself getting more comfortable with the Medicine cat, little by little. "It seems kind of... Interesting?" She meowed. "D-do you think you could... Show me some of the herbs? I-I mean, if it isn't a bother..." She meowed. Maplepaw wanted to know, more than anything, what she was meant to do. And she wouldn't know unless she tried, right?

Riverpool:

Riverpool nodded "Oh of course I can come on let's head towards the lake" she meowed, her tail flicked slightly. She was glad this young she-cat seemed eager to search for her destiny and she wondered if she would ask to be her apprentice instead. Riverpool seemed excited at the thought that maybe the she-cat would choose a medicine cat as her official role in the clan.

Maplepaw-Leafclan

Maplepaw purred, happy that Riverpool had agreed. "Okay!" Maplepaw hardly felt shy beside the Medicine cat anymore, she almost felt as if she'd actually made a friend. The tortoiseshell apprentice was ecstatic about learning about herbs and the ways of a Medicine cat, and was even more excited to figure out where she belonged. At this point, Maplepaw had no doubt that it was with Leafclan.

Riverpool:

Riverpool froze and pointed towards a bright yellow flower "You see that? That's Coltsfoot. It isn't as common on our territory but we still get it from time to time. It helps ease coughing in kittens and helps heal sore paw pads. You chew it up into a poultice before putting it on the paw pad." she meowed, glancing at the she-cat to see what she would say

Riverpool shook her head "It's fine Brairnose' she meowed, resting her tail on the elders shoulder. As Maplepaw approached she let out a purr "Hello Maplepaw, I was just about to clean out Brairnose's nest, why don't you come and help me? Adderbite went out to hunt he should be back soon." she meowed, hr voice gentle.

Adderbite crawled out from where he was and spotted the two cats. He knew at that same moment that they had also spotted him. As the two approached his pelt began to bristle. At the question from the she-cat he flicked his tail "I don't have to explain to you why I am on my side of the border. But if you must know, I was hunting." he meowed, his voice firm as he stood tall.

Bluewhisker let out a faint his as the other cat got to his paws. Immediately she flicked her tail and ran towards him. "What are you doing here?" she scowled, her tail flicking though her body remained calm and her hackles stayed firmly down. She glanced at Rowanpaw, and allowed him to take her shoulder. She could smell the faint scent of the territory surrounding the tom, but he was right, he hadn't crossed the border. She glanced at Rowanpaw, testing what he would do.

Brackenheart couldn't smell much prey and disappointment washed over him "Yeah, let's move further in. I was hoping New-Leaf would be plentiful." he meowed softly. Cherry leapt onto the fence of her two leg yard, her paws balancing her precisely. With interest, she turned towards the forest, her eyes scanning the trees for any cats. She had longed to meet one of the fierce cats of the forest she had been told about by her mother but no matter how hard she looked she never spotted any. Today, however, she spotted a small figure in the grass, pulling stems with her teeth. She leapt down from her place on the fence and trotted over towards the cat (SILVERPAW) "What are you doing?" she meowed, not even bothering to warn the cat she was there.

Cloud nodded, his body sore with exhaustion. He hadn't slept the night before and the hunt was beginning to wear him out, but he moved forward along side his daughter "Go ahead and play." he meowed, flicking his tail towards the warming rocks.

Whitepaw- Whitepaw nodded silently, searching the bracken for more prey. Seeing a blackbird, the white tom grinned. With smooth yet quick steps, Whitepaw managed to get close to the bird that wore a coat of ebony. Licking his maw, Whitepaw took his chance to pounce. Thankfully rising with the bird in his jaws. A messy catch but not too shabby. '' I gotd it!'' He mewed through his feathery mouthful.
Ravenflower- Smiling at her son, ravenflower gave him a gentle and loving nuzzle. '' Well done.'' The black warrior murmured softly, glancing sideways at Lynxclaw before slipping through the undergrowth, the thrush in her jaws.

Coot- She nuzzled her father and gave his tired ears a lick. '' thanks! '' coot mewed excitedly, the black and white cat loved to leap and bound! Running up the rocks, Coot leapt off the sun warmed stone into a pile of leaves, scattering russet maples and crunchy brown holly leaves everywhere.
