The day was hot against his dark fur, but there was plenty of water around to keep the dehydration away as well as a bit of heat. The hunting would be tough, but nothing he couldn't cope with as most days. He settles in the shade for a moment listening to any camp chatter he could pick up.

Sits near the Elder's den to watch the fish swim around. They were all pretty small and not worth getting her paws wet for, but it was nice to take her mind off of other things. There were several little things nipping away at her, but the calming pool helped her ignore them a little longer.

Mentally, the cat took notes on the age of the cats he saw. The leader in particular was younger than her deputy and a good chunk of the warriors as well. All the elders were twice his age and the oldest of warriors only out-did him by a few moons. It was nice to have a more mature setting among his rank though.

"How about Thunderhaze," Doeeyes suggested. The fae flicked her bobtail. "He looks as if he could use something to do."

Ears prick up hearing someone say his name, though not heavily surprised when he sees a small group of cats. Doeeye wasn't someone he'd gotten to know very well, but that didn't mean making a trip would be any less enjoyable. "What do you need me for?" He meows, knowing it was one of two patrols.

Doeeyes looked expectantly at the deputy - he was leading the patrol, after all. She couldn't tell Thunderhaze he could just join the patrol; no, that was Adderstrike's job. She'd only just suggested him.

Firestar, trusting things were in order, padded off to survey the prey pile. It was very low. Perhaps a second patrol, led by himself, would help.

Nightsky looked over to her left. She saw the blue eyes of Icewhisker staring at her. What's he staring at me for? It's alright. I'll go talk to him. Nightsky smiled at the tom and got on her paws, padding over to him. "Hey Icewhisker, wh-" Nightsky stopped as a butterfly landed on her nose.

Adderstrike gave a second thought. "Thunderhaze, ask Firestar if you could help Shadedleaf. Echowing will join the patrol."
