Timberfoot took a step back to look at his surroundings, and for the first time, he realized that he was in enemy territory. "I'm sorry," the brown tabby muttered. "I wasn't..." Without another word, he ran away.

Jackdawflight stared after him, hissing. He didn't give chase—that cat was obviously confused.

Coldkit had snuck out of camp why Doeheart and her father were sleeping. "Mean old badger," she muttered bitterly. She'd overheard Swiftsoul talking about her heartless, evil, murderous mother and how the kits would be the same.

Weaselkit entered SecretClan territory for the first time. "This place really does smell weird," he muttered.

Coldkit's ears stood erect and she crouched, hearing others. They smell weird!

Fallowkit nodded. "Very." She agreed.

Weaselkit bounded forward. "Let's see if we can-Agh!" He stopped and lowered his head in pain.
