"I think we should go grab a mouse or two for dinner? Want to? I mean just as friends."

Perking up, Smokepaw nodded. "That would be a great idea! Hopefully those nasty kittypets will stay away from us.. I mean ... our clan. Whats good in the pile?" Smokpaw smiled and followed the tom out of the den. She would be a true medicine cat soon and work beside Birdsong.

"Well I do like mice, they are the best! Or maybe even fish if you would like. Scarstar isn't that bad when you know him. He can be a meanie sometimes but would risk his life for anyone. Plus I think he's a great leader, I mean with what he's been through." Smokepaw said sadly, looking at her paws as tears filled her eyes.

Smokepaw leaned against Starfire.
"He told me about his past, only me. It was so sad and horrible. He was just a kit when his parents left him, taking only his brother but not him. Then when Scarstar some how managed to live mostly off of kittypet food, he joined a group of cats that promised him he would be well fed and have shelter. He fell in love with a she-cat who broke his heart so heavily I was surprised he was still alive. He told her he would be there for her.

She promised him the exact thing. But as the leader of that group of cats won her heart, she rejected him laughing and saying she never really loved him. He then took off from that group of cats, only to be attacked by dogs and of course getting ripped apart. The scratch on his shoulder is the scratch remaining from the fight. Barely getting enough food he dragged himself to the river.

Where he met a cat named Bone, Bone was a nice cat, pure white with black ear tip. Protected Scarstar until he was better. But sadly Bone died from the attack of kitty pets, he tried to protect Scarstar. But Scarstar barely managed to get himself out alive.
That's where I come in and help him with his injuries. That's how this clan was started, now he helps any cat who asks for it."

O my goodness.. how awful. I heard he had a bad childhood but not that bad... that's so bad. Should we do this another time? I understand that you might not be in the happiest mood right now.. but whenever you want I will be here for you ok?

Smokepaw blushed. "No, no its fine." She said blinking away the tears. "Now that I think about it, I would love a mouse."
"But Starfire, I don't think I can fall for anyone, I'm going to be a medicine cat." she whispered urgently looking around.
