Cass heard someone approach, and he wanted to growl, to ward whoever it was off, but he couldn't manage it without choking on another sob. When he felt fur against his skin, he almost flinched -- the feeling was foreign and strange, but the scent was familiar. He heard himself murmur her name, the relief in his voice shocking him. And then a choked cry, and murmured words as he moved his hands to comb his fingers through her fur. "I'll never see your smile, your eyes or your cubs... I don't know how we can do this, Tempest... Seeing you was what kept me from leaving the pack -- the only good thing that was there for me, because you are his and ...I just..." he took a strangled breath and closed his blind, violet eyes. He wanted to pull away from her, but he couldn't bring himself to. He needed this comfort, to be here with Tempest -- to know that she would not leave him as he had made his family go. "I know it hurts for you to sit up, dearest," he said at last as he stilled his hands at the back of her neck, behind her ears, before he drew his hands away from her fur, to allow her to move as she wished.
"It's painful," he said as he lowered his head, his wings drooping so that the points nearly touched the floor of the den, but he didn't clarify as to what was painful, just drew back from her, to move back to the pelts where they were to sleep. He then focused -- maybe he could figure out how to control the shift.... No. He didn't know how yet. Hopefully if he fell asleep he would shift back into a wolf. He lay on his side on the pelts and momentarily wondered how he was supposed to sleep in this strange body. He could taste the sawdust in the air, and he knew it was his grief that he tasted, mixed with the tart taste of anger and the bitterness of betrayal. He didn't care, so he shut out the part of his mind that told him about the flavors and scents of emotions and auras. "Lay with me. Hopefully once I sleep I'll be a wolf again. This is confusing and exhausting." he said tiredly, lifting one of his wings and draping it over his shoulder, letting it hover and giving Tempest a space in which she could lay under his wing for her to be warm, too.

"You can see them in my dreams, you can see it in your memory, in other wolves thoughts." Tempest Brewing at Dawn assures him softly, closing her eyes a minute. "I'm not his, I'm yours. You are who I love, my best friend Castiel. I would have chose you that day moons ago. Remember that." then she licks his cheek, standing again. "I know it does, it'll get better." The she-wolf settles beside him on the furs, back to his stomach and ribs, tail over her hind paws as she rests. "All will be well, you'll see. I'm not going anywhere." a pause as she thinks of what to change the subject too and then deciding on the dance begins to gush about its beauty; how much she enjoyed it. "You and me.. I wish we could do that sometime, like with the jewelry thing that wasnt explained fully. That would be fun. And in a while you and I will find your family and you can appologize to Uranus and Neptune for snapping at them - then you'll feel even better."

Cassiel shook his head at Tempest's words, speaking softly to her in the familiar tones of Lupine. The language of the wolves reminded him of a lullaby. No wonder Shadow's Taken Girl liked sleeping beside the wolves. "I can't even imagine your eyes anymore, Tempest. I can't see, not even in my mind." he sighed softly, sadly, letting his fingers find purchase in the fae's pelt once she had lain beside him. "The dance? I don't think I can again. I'll find my bracelets, Venus will make yours, and then we can exchange - it'll be just like we were actually mates. It'll be the life we'll have, happy, together, while we're here." he said to her in an almost content tone, a smile playing at his lips as he relaxed on the furs, his wing resting over Tempest to keep her warm. Her words made him open his blind eyes, only for a moment, before he closed them again. He'd snapped at his siblings? He must have been so upset that he hadn't consciously realized who it was that was there... Apologizing to them would definitely make him feel better, because now he felt guilty. Tired and just about to fall back asleep, but guilty.

Fire felt his brows furrow as he curled his black and red tail over his front paws. "Your alpha should not even be an alpha right now. After Tempest became Shadow's mate, he was to be a hunter in our pack, and the rest of his wolves were to become ours. Why didn't you tell Shadow?" He asked, before he slumped his shoulders and lowered his nose to the ground, thinking to himself for a moment. Then he rose to all four paws and stepped over the border that rest between Shalbriri lands and the lands of the Vargs. And then the black and red wolf sat on his haunches, raised his head, and howled for Shadow Demon.

Feeling a shudder run through her, Shadow Demons eyes snapped open as she slowly rose from her bed. The disturbance in the packs border was the first thing that she felt. And then she heard the howl from a familiar voice. Frowning, she mulled over with a sleepy brain, truing to place the voice. After a moment or so she figured it out and stretched. "What now" she muttered to herself before exiting her cave and returning his howl with a call of her own. She would be there soon. Rather then shadow travel, she felt the need to run, and thats exactly what she did till she was near the border.

"They will understand, and forgive you. I guarantee it.. the dance.. well, we can in our heads." her mind goes to her immaginings while he had danced with Dawn. Tempest listens with a silent smile to his words, its sleepy and sweet. "Thats the grief talking Cas, thats all. We'll figure something out you and I, we will." is her murmmer of reassuramce to the distraught male in humanish guise. Her cheek is pressed undernieth his chin. While they were here, all she could ask. "Everything will be better soon, it will. Sleep, it will happen and when you waken, I'll still be here." the pale wolfess winces again at her pups actions and she shifts a tad but not much. "All will be well, you'll see, now take a breath and share my dreams...all will be well Castiel....." then, with a yawn she is asleep - comforted and exausted and finally - after what seems to have been an eternity, warm.


The gray-gold she-wolf shakes her head, "I know things Shadow doesn't." is her answer of denial, "I couldnt break them, no its better I dont go to Shadow." Seiges' Remorse sighs, watching him; "Tempest... What will Shadow do to Storm? He doesnt want to hurt her." Remorse blinks, flicks her ears and then stands with the male wolf she loves and pads across the boarder with determination but also unhappyness. She remains standing when he sits but she too adds her voice to the sky - freezing at the distant, eerie reply from the alphess, Shadow-Demon, of the dark-pack. The one she is considering joining - at least they were sane. The earth speaks in whispers of the approach of her, and her eyes are cold, wary.
