Shadow attempted to lick her cheek, adoring the sweet scent of her fur and the heat of the moment. It was a time that could have lasted for years, isolated in a period of time where everything aligned. All things perfect had consequences though, and he was soon going to learn the error of his ways. A familiar voice cut through the happiness in the air, and the metaphorical record scratched. His eyes widened in surprise, but no guilt came. Why should he be guilty of having love for the both of them? Talon and he were not doing anything when Little arrived. He could say he was just comforting her. Shadow approached the situation with an innocent angle,"What's wrong, Little? Talon and I have always been close. Can I not comfort her?"

Flower raced after Tide with an aura of excitement about her. Before she had become friends with Tide, she hated the life she held. Hunting, fighting, and the works were unappealing to her, but the friends she had made pushed her to best herself day in and day out. Her life had never been better, and the typical storm cloud that hovered over her head due to her mother's death was now just a fluffy, white cloud -- life was good. She attempted to catch up to Tide, feeling her paws flying under her in pursuit. She was not considering the fact she might scare away any watching prey. A competitive spirit was blooming in her.
