Arco didn't see Chance's brown pelt among the mud, but her white markings quickly gave away her hiding place.
Snorting he cantered after her, his tail flicking. "Chance!?" he called.

[Steffi.]

Chance stood. She was too far to hear him, but his sudden alertness made her worried. Did something happen? She looked across the pond, but couldn't see anything...

[Ranua]

Managing to get close to Chance Arco snorted,
whistling and nickering. "You okay?"

[Steffi.]

She blinked. "Yes, I am. At least, within reason. Why?" she asked, nuzzling him.

[Ranua]

"No, it's just...you looked a bit hazy." he said quickly.

[Steffi.]

She sighed. "I've been having some self-esteem issues. And I'vedecided that visiting Chevy isn't a good idea..." she pushed away more tears.

[Ranua]

"Why? What happened?" asked Arcpo, his ears pricking in surprise. Chevy?

[Steffi.]

"Well... You've been with Tropical so much. She's very lovely, and I really can't help but wonder if maybe you want her to be lead mare. I also wanted to see Chevy to get away from everything happening at our herd... but he was a bit snappish with me and it just made me feel worse..." her head hung at her self-conscious worries.

[Ranua]

"Make her lead mare!? Chance that's ridiculous!" Arco snorted. "You should know I love you best!"

[Steffi.]

Chance frowned. "Well, I don't read minds, so I can't tell these things... I've told you about my awful connections with emotions before, right?" sshe said, a smile playing on her mouth.
