Bluekit sat beside his mother, looking up at her respectfully.

Mousestar closed his eyes and pressed against his mate, listening to the story.

"Of course" She purred, licking her cheek, standing. "It's already moonhigh, lets go!" She gets up, bounding towards the exit of the Warriors den.

``A while ago, before you kits were born, I was a Medicine Cat. Then, I fell in love with your father. I became a Warrior, and then a queen. Now, I have a family, and I wouldn't change anything about it. Your older sister is Moonblossom, kits, and I am as proud of her as I will be of you, when you all discover what path you want. Just promise me one thing.``

Hailkit blinked. ``What, momma?``


Ashrunner sighed. ``Do not break the code.``

Redfeather followed her out watching her with admiration.

Poppykit tilted her head and looked at her mother. "Why would we wanna brake the code?" She was confused slightly. She looked at both her parents.

"Ashrunner tell another story!" Rainkit mewed "also yes i wanna help my clan mates and be respected by every cat!"

The queen looked at Mousestar, nodding at him to explain.


Hailkit blinked. ``It's cause Momma broke the code, right? 'Cause she loved Father, so she became his mate!``

(I think it's funny that they are still so young and never told the code but they magically know it)

Poppykit looked at her father and got up and got to their faces and smiled softly. "Ma followed her heart, gave up position for love. True sacrifice," she meowed softly.

"I promise, mama!" Bluekit meows. His paw bats at his mothers, hoping for comfort.

Mousestar looked at Poppykit. "Your mother broke the code for me. You'll learn about it sooner or later when your all apprentices. But it was the best mistake we've ever made"

Nightgaze bounds across the camp clearing, heading towards the entrance. She pounced onto a large, plump mouse at the entrance.

Ashrunner purred. ``Yes. Sometimes sacrifice leads to amazing things. I couldn't be prouder of what this led to.``


Hailkit twitched a large ear. ``I'm gonna follow my heart too, and be a great warrior!``

Poppykit nodded and looked at both her parents. "I promise, I'll keep the order." She softly spoke the second have and nuzzled both her parents.

Redfeather smiled, "good catch." She was next to Nightgaze and looked at the plump mouse.

Poppykit looked at her parents and softly smiled, "I don't want to be a great warrior, I just want to be a warrior that is remembered." She spoke quietly hoping her parents heard.
