Jadeheart turned and looked at the queen. I should have thought about that! she thought. "Don't worry, the rain won't be able to flood much for some time now. I believe you will be able to make it." She said, not giving any sign that she was afraid. "Eat these," She said as she pawed some Burnet and Chamomile toward the queen. "They will give you strength for the journey." She told Sorrelstripes.

"Thank you," she murmured, her panic eased, and ate the herbs. "Would you like me to help collect the herbs?" She asked.

Jadeheart shook her head. "You seem to have enough on your paws. I'm sure the apprentices and I can handle it, but thank you for the offer." She said as she dipped her head.

She nodded and headed into the camp. She called for her mate, "Shadowheart?"

Nightpaw: -walks farther into Jadehearts den only to have to wait while other cats came rushing in then leaving. As soon as Sorrelstripes leaves the den Nigtpaw walks up to Jadeheart.- Freezepaw is outside with Fawnheart, he needs some help.

Fawnheart: -walks into the den with Freezepaw-

Freezepaw: -follows Fawnheart's movements of tail inside the medicine den in a lurching limp, eyes held shut by blood and pain and sides heaving with scars from the fox-

Jadeheart looked at the apprentice. "Oh dear, why did you have to try hunting down a fox when we are about to leave?" She questioned, not expecting an answer. Jadeheart turned around and quickly gathered cobwebs with her paw. She limped back to Freezepaw and put the cobwebs on his wounds. She grabbed some dock and goldenrod then chewed them up. "This will sting a bit, but it will help your scratched heal." She said as she started to apply the herbs to his scratches.
