Emberheart woke up abruptly, wildly searching for her kits. She had had a disturbing nightmare, and was relieved to see all three of them sleeping soundly beside her. Yawning, she spotted an apprentice idling about. "Shiningpaw!" she called, beckoning the young cat over.

"Would anyone like to talk?" She asks to any cat.

Frostpaw approached Frozenfeather. He had been interested in having a conversation with the she-cat before, but he hadn't got the chance. "Hello, Frozenfeather!" he meowed cheerfully.

"Hello Frostpaw!" She meows back, she takes her fish from the top of the fresh kill pile and lays it in front of the apprentice. "Would you like to share some prey? I caught it down at the beach." She explains. She was happy to say that the fish was quite large and could feed the two of them.

Roamingheart sniffed around for calypso. He wondered how the shecat was doing, she looked quite thin when he saw her last.

Frostpaw 's face brightened into a beaming smile. "Oh, yes, I've been on a patrol with Glasseyes all day!" he froze before he could take a bite. "Oh, gosh, I was supposed to tell Whisperstar!" he whipped around only to find that Glasseyes had already arrived in camp. He gave Frozenfeather a guilty smile, "Oops."

In truth, Calypso hadn't eaten since Roamingheart's squirrel. Hunting for two was more difficult than she'd thought, but she wasn't complaining about Raven's company.
