Lightningstar chuckled and bolted past Dappleshade as quickly as he could. He dodged trees, roots, and bushes as he ran to the river. The tom was determined to win the "race" so that they could fish together.

Lightningstar nodded and approached the river. He watched as Dappleshade caught a fish. "Nice catch." Lightningstar meowed and looked down at the river.

dappleshade looked at him with a warm smile with the fish still in her mouth " tank yo" she said with a lisp beacause of the fish which she set aside and looked at the river again

He shrugged. "No problem." Lightningstar checked to see if his shadow touched the river surface. Once he was sure it didn't, he unsheated his claws and prepared to pull the fish out.

Lightningstar aimed for where the fish dodged. He targeted correctly and brought it out of the water in his jaws. Then he killed it with a bite to the neck and watched in satisfaction as the fish he caught went limp. He looked at Dappleshade. "Yeah, I brought Ace and Kisa into the Clan. That sure brought some drama. How about you?" he asked.
