{{#world'slatestpost - sorry! i've been on a holiday around the world for the past five weeks and the flight that was meant to take me home to 'stralia was overbooked. by FORTY people. we booked our tickets months ago so we got stuck in singapore's humid heat (and their airport for hours) for another day. also, there's no guarantee they won't let us on tomorrow! and i'm a bit sick so if me or any of my characters have a mood snap that's why .c. also how old is sandclaw because honeyfur is single and ready to mingleee... also +1 for drema

honeyfur looked at wisterpaw over her shoulder. "okay. let's go?" the she-cat mewed quietly, before she began to walk out of the clan entrance looking around slowly.

❝ goodmorning. i'm owlpaw, but that's not all to me. i was once 'owl'. i remember i was only a little kit back then. my parents were loners and unlike some other stories of other cats i know, my father didn't love me very much... although my mother wasn't your average warm and fuzzy queen, but i still loved her as i didn't know any different and thought she was nice because i'd never had another she-cat to compare her to. one day while i was eating, they got into a fight where my father thought it was "necessary" to murder my mother in front of my eyes... -i remember the fear bright in her eyes before they lost their warm sparkle and went cold and somewhat dull. out of fear and guilt that i hadn't said something, i spun around and ran. being a few moons old, i wasn't fast at all. but to my own surprise, my father just laid there beside her wounded and blood covered body as if he knew that out of all his mistakes, most likely me being one of them, he knew that killing the only cat that loved him was his biggest. even ten's of tail lengths away you could still hear his weeping and screaming. that is what alerted a nearby stormclan patrol. -not to mention the fact that my own wailing was quite noticeable as we were unaware that we weren't as far away from the nearby clan camp as we thought. once the patrol came at a fast speed, myself being the closest after running away, was found first. one of the cats from the patrol, a she-cat if i remember correctly, picked me up in her jaws and took me back to camp silently. well, it wasn't silent, as i was still sobbing and muttering the answers requested through tears. when we arrived, she placed me in a "nursery", which at the time i didn't know what it was. there were other kits looking at me as if i was crowfood. they kept yelling "loner", but i was oblivious to the meaning at the time. when i was gently placed beside another she-cat, she seemed to be the only cat in the area that didn't have a sour look on her face. she was my new "foster mother". i didn't know what that meant either! she told me that i was going to meet the leader, but i was completely in confusion to all these new words. she labelled it simply that he was in charge. then i knew what a leader was, because my father was always "in-charge". then the she-cat explained that i would get a new name. since she knew i was already "owl", she told me my new name would be "owlkit". i thought the idea was completely insane. why did they put "kit" on the end? apparently all the kit's have it. she introduced me to some of the kits, but they just glared at me and turned their backs towards us. they were mostly all boys, too. oh, and they all had "kit" on their last names, too! firekit, mousekit, breezekit, you name it. it was bizarre! after a few minutes of her simple explanations, a big she cat walked in. i remember my foster mother explaining that she had explained the simple things to me, like apprentices, warriors, mentors, deputies, leaders, etc. the leader gave me a warm glance before calling a "clan meeting". she then announced that a new kit would be joining "stormclan", under the name of "owlkit". it was strange, to say the least. after a few moons i became closer with some of the boys and had the occasional "rough-and-tumble", as much as my foster mother disliked it. only after a moon of joining the clan, my new mother and i were basically inseparable. we would eat together, drink together, play together, just name it! later, when it was time for my apprentice ceremony, i knew about equally as much about the clans as my fellow nursery mates. i was finally ready. when i became owlpaw, that didn't mean i stopped visiting my foster mother. sometimes i might share tongues or share meals with her every few days, or go and gossip about clan rumors if i hadn't already. life was good, and it still is. ❞
