he shrank back at owlkits tone.
"Dont get angry, please." He whispered. "Dovekit wouldn't like it."
He looked at the mouse. "I can't eat meat yet, I'm still drinking yucky milk."
"S-she was talking with a big cat... Where I got bored, and I saw all of you. I thought dovekit was sleeping, so I came over to try and wake her up..." He mewed quickly, his voice guilty. Was this his fault? That his mother was gone?
"Do you think... She's sleeping too?" He mewed sadly, quietly.

Owlkit frowned. Who was he to say what Dovekit would and wouldn't like? He knew she probably wouldn't, so he stopped, feeling a bit bad for being harsh on him. "Okay, then please go put the prey back where you found it Yewkit." he felt stupid for asking if he would eat it when the kit was still drinking milk. "I don't see your mother anywhere!" he exclaimed. "Maybe she's is sleeping... or dead... or just out enjoying the fresh air." he shrugged.

He dragged the mouse back, and returned to the scene.
"Will she come back?" He mumbled quietly, "I might stay here. Is there anything we can do for dovekit?"

Owlkit looked at Yewkit sadly. "I honestly don't know if your mother will come back. It's in the paws of StarClan." he loked up at the sparkling stars in the sky and smiled at silverpelt. "Hmm... no, I don't think there's anything you csn do for her... she's dead, remember?" he reminded him. "Anyways, should we search outside of camp for your mother? I know that it's against the warrior code... but there's no other option I can think of right now."

He nodded. "Well, lets just not get caught. If we do happen to get caught though, we'll explain." he answered and padded out of camp, looking behind his shoulder to see if Yewkit was following.

She frowned a little bit as her own tail wrapped around her paws, "I didn't realize just how many..."
Fiercestrike eyed the cat, wondering if he was closed to any of them. No matter what, the deaths made a sad effect on the whole clan. She looked at her tail, which covered her white paws.
