"Yeah! Let's play in the river!!!" Flare yelled. He ran towards the glassy water and splashed in. Dancing around in circles he called out "Raven!! Come on it's fun!!"

"Well... I guess... but i'm going to stay dry thankyou very much." Moving herself under the shade of a tall tree to the side of the small clearing she wrapped her self up in a little ball and fell into a peaceful sleep.

"Soul, how deep should this hole be?" Wisp asked after they'd been digging for a couple of minutes. She was tired, but she kept going because she needed to prove herself to Soul and Shiko and everyone else in the whole leash, for that matter. She just needed to do something right, get approval, and make a friend. Then her life would be great.

Copper sighed, inwardly groaning at the indecisveness of Heron and Yuri. "Well, is there anything else you want to know about the leash? Are you going to stay with us?" He asked. There was nothing better to do than talk at this point, it would be time to leave soon enough.

"Aww, sorry to see you sitting out!" Raven called to Apollo and Jingle. Then, turning to Phantom and Flare, she gave a lopsided grin as she whapped her tail in circles, creating huge splashes all over the place. "Take that!" She giggled, enjoying the cool river water.

Soul looked up from where he was working, his paws and chest covered in mud. It took a while for him to register her question, he had been so focused on what he was doing. Glancing at Leaf Fall and Wisp he said, "We need to go really deep. This thing is sure to poison the earth, so the furthur we go, the better chance the environment will survive."

"Hey!!" Flare called out as Raven splashed him with some cold river water. "Here have this in return!!" Flare shouted as he lifted his paws and brought more than half of his body weight down on the water,creating a huge wave that splashed Raven "Hehehe!!" The young fox giggled as he splooshed around in the water. What fun he was having today.

"Don't worry!! I'm just content to sleep here!!" Jingle called out at Raven for saying that she was sorry about her and Apollo sitting out. This comment had roused her from her sleep and she couldn't fall back into that inky blackness she loved so much. Propping herself up she proceded to watch Raven and Flare dance about in the river. Just like to mates should.

Leaf Fall gave Soul a sharp nod and continued to dig, working quickly and efficiently. Small heaps of dirt flew past his head and shoulder as he kept going farther and farther down. The stench of the demon was becoming unbearable, but he kept his ground and breathed through his mouth, though he admitted to himself that even the air tasted like the foul creature. He shuddered inwardly and put his muzzle in the hole to pull out several large rocks before returning to digging.

When Soul said that they had to keep digging, Wisp's heart sank. She was tired, hot and she couldn't stand the smell of the demon. If this was over soon, she was afraid she would pass out or throw up. She dug more furiously, with the dirt flying everywhere and tried to think of something pleasant, like running in a field of wildflowers under a bright, baby blue sky. Yeah, that's what I'm doing right now. Wisp thought to herself pleasantly.

Heron looked at Copper and almost rolled his eyes, but decided that would help Copper getting to like him. Not that he cared much anyway. "I can't think of anything I'd like to know." He said lazily. "Is there anything you can think of to tell me? I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking around, haven't got anywhere else to go, really." He looked at Copper expectantly.

"Heey!" Phantom laughed, shaking the water from his soaked fur. He grinned, lifting his paws and lifting his tail. He slapped his paws onto the cold water while wagging his tail, making a huge splash throughout him, Raven and Flare. Phantom wished he had fun like this everyday-maybe.

Leaf Fall clenched his teeth harder as he dug deeper. A part of his coat brushed the poison and an acrid, burning smell filled his nose. He spat and shook his head. He dared not lick the poison away as it could get in his system. He pulled away from the digging for a moment. "Give a second please, Soul." He went into the forest and wretched several times. His mouth tasted foul, but he returned a minute or two later and burrowed furiously into the dirt. "I doubt we need to go much farther." He said.
