The black pointed stallion nodded politely at the younger pony. She was quite pink, or maybe just a light pink but she was definitely pink. He said “We came to get some candy, of course. I figured my daughter would like some of the stuff you have here. My son,” he pointed to him “Also has a daughter. They aren’t foals anymore, but you don’t have to be to enjoy candy.” He smiled as he said this. He then went over to browse the candy, trying to find the ones he knew his daughter liked.

The gray mare with the darker legged looked around for a moment. She then shook her head, and walked along. She’d been checking her dresses, but now she heard the bell over the door. She hurried out, seeing the stallion she had a crush on and saying “O-Oh, hello Silver Dagger.”

She said “I could honestly care for two, but if there’s only five currently I probably shouldn’t take two…Since my dad and aunt will definitely adopt as well. My grandpa and his mate are okay with cats. They’d probably be okay adopting one as well.” She shook her head a couple times, then smiled and nodded. She said “I’ll tell them about the cats later today. Um…could I meet Layla, Jojo, and Mango right now?” she asked.

The silver bay beauty twitched their ears a couple times. Putting them back a moment as they thought they heard something…They sighed and perked their ears once more. It had just been a bird, and now they flicked their tail back and forth. Turning their attention back to the male before them. He’d said his name was Merlin…right…yes, they were pretty sure. They could forget names if they got distracted by conversations. They were pretty sure his name was Merlin, though. They watched as he scratched at a small beard. They noticed it was not the same color as his mane…then quickly shook their head, saying “Yeah, that’s true…”

They were happy to change the topic then, to the subject of animals. Animals, pets, basically the same thing but not quite. There were definitely wild animals out there…so those wouldn’t be pets. Shaking their head, they focused on him. Saying “Oh, birds are so nice to look at, and the ones that sing have beautiful songs.” They didn’t think every single bird type could sing. They held back a shudder when he mentioned a black widow…They didn’t want to offend him, after all. They then smiled and nodded emphatically, saying “I do. I have three chinchillas, which maybe seems crazy but I have a little area/room they’re in and they’re quite happy.”

Vesper nodded and after a moment they pointed to a cafe "Is that it up there?" They asked getting a bit of excitement in their voice. What could they say this was the highlight of their day going to a cat cafe with a new friend! A very cute friend they thought and blushed a bit but shook their head as they got it out of their mind.

Jewels took a small peek at what Star Seeker was now drawing, but didn't catch on to what he was drawing just yet. She instead flipped to another page in her notebook, deciding to work on some ideas for necklaces. She stole another glance towards Star Seeker, deciding to gain some inspiration by doing one for him. She worked on sketches for a longer necklace with a silver chain. She sketch out a four pointed star for the gem on the necklace, a bit lost for what the gem should be. She looked towards Dista, showing her the sketch. "What do you think would look better, a purple amethyst or a green emerald?" She asked, leaving out who the necklace was inspired from.

"Over there is Layla, she's got a lot of energy and loves to play."

She had already worked a part time shift at her brother's cafe, mainly assisting in caring for the foster cats as she had no skills in the kitchen. he glanced up as a bird started to chirp. his ears twitched as he looked around for it, only to be drawn back to the conversation with nova. did he mention that pericles was a bird? perhaps he did. but he wasn’t going to correct them, after all… pericles was.. a bird…unless they were mentioning the bird that sung overhead. merlin slowed his pace a little before continuing his side of the conversation, “they are. although pericles tends to use his song for other purposes- like unfortunately serving as my alarm clock in the morning,” although, despite his tone he was actually pretty grateful for that little stinker. Imagine all the beautiful days he’d miss because he decided to sleep in… actually-

he glanced at them when they mentioned that they had three chinchillas. he shook his head, “no judgement here. although it’s great that you provide enough space for them to roam and thrive.” he mumbled, thinking for a moment. “if anything you’re talking to somepony that has a bird and a spider underneath the same roof- it’d be very interesting if we manage to get a cat too.” he laughed a little. aw look at him. laughing, even if it was a bit of a curt and short one.

Not some other pony coming their way, or watching the two of them. Shaking their head, they focused on the other again. They nodded as they looked at him, and giggled quietly a bit. Before shaking their head and scolding their self. They then sighed…at them self, before looking at him again. “Oh…I hope that’s not annoying, or not too annoying. I’ve heard some birds can sound like literal alarm clocks and things like that. Is he that kind of bird, or just a song bird type?” they asked. They were pretty curious as to what the bird was like.

They nodded as they looked at him. “They were actually owned by some pony who got sick suddenly and passed away… The male and female were bonded, and the female was pregnant. I couldn’t just give their baby away, so I kept the baby as well. The baby is an adorable and sweet little thing,” they said with pride. They truly loved their three precious chinchillas. They smiled and said “Their names are Blackie, Ivory and Ebony. Ebony is the offspring of Blackie and Ivory,” they said, with a happy little giggle.

she had managed to make a couple fresh batches of butterscotch cupcakes, placing them behind the glass counter and the display stand before taking a breif break to look at a couple of order tickets. she had already made a variety of sweets a couple of days ago- including yesterday and the other day. she moved a hoof through her now braided mane, making sure that any rouge hairs were tucked back into her hairnet, organizing tickets by complete and incomplete...which was only a few incomplete orders...which she can get done with ease if she managed her time more.

calliope's ears twitched as the bell above the door notified her of a customer. she turned her head towards the door and beamed, smiling at a pony that she has never quite met before, "good morning and welcome to calliope sweets- or if you are here for weaver's tapestries, then her shop is just up those flight of stairs," she smiled as she used her hoof to point over towards the spiraling staircase that led to her sister's shop. maybe they need a sign or something that will draw attention to her sister's shop more, but that was something to be discussed later.

"you are welcome either way, feel free to ask any questions if you have any."

he looked at them and shook his head, "i'd be lying that if i said that it didn't." he paused before continuing, "but its not that annoying- i shouldn't be sleeping in as much as i do," he mumbled as he started to look around again, this time looking for a bird, his attention briefly going back to nova when they asked him a little more about pericles. "no, he isn't entierly a bird that can mimic words or sounds..songbird might be pushing it but he tries.".

after the attempt of looking for a bird that was more likely not there, he turned his attention back to nova, giving them look of sympathy as they explained the situation that brought them the chinchillas. "i am sorry to hear that- were they close to you in any way?" if it was too personal to share- then it was fine with him to go without knowing the former owner's history and nova's relationship. he then looked away as they listed off the history and names of the chinchillas- and believe him, he was listening. a small smile appeared on the unicorn's face as he sensed a little pride that nova expressed when talking about the herd. although as merlin begun talking, the smile disappeared, "despite the past circumstances- it is good that you took them and cared for them anyhow. i'm sure that the previous owner is...happy that they're in good hooves." he wasn't sure if that happy was the way to put it.

when they arrived at their shop, she quickly retreated upstairs to her shop, thanking her sister as she had brought a little something for her to quell her hunger until lunch. maybe that is when they should drop buy that little magic shop? something to think about- and maybe mention to their father when they return home. surely he'd be interested in something like that?...probably, probably not.

she smiled a little before opening up the balcony doors to let a little air and sun in this gloomy room. she decided to step out to refresh her brain- clearing the cobwebs out before returning back to her work area- moving across the floor to collect the cobwebs that were gathering in the corners of her shop- and that was when her little spider friend crawled out of her bag and out in the open- more than likely to spin another web. spider weaver greeted milton with a wave- and it waved back before disappearing somewhere in the room. she giggled a little before humming a tune as she got her loom set up for the day.

They nodded once more, saying “True, true…sleeping too much can actually be bad.” Although at their age, and they assumed his age here, it wasn’t odd. Older ponies definitely slept more. They then smiled again as they listened to him. “Not a songbird…but tries to sing: that’s quite interesting,” they said with genuine interests.

They looked away a moment, but then looked back to him. Just in time to see the look of sympathy he shot at them. They smiled a bit from that, and said “Thank you. Not me particularly…but they were a friend of my parents, and my parents consider themselves too old for pets now. Not because they think it’s childish or anything. It’s because they’re legit elderly now. I ended up getting the two and the little one, once Ebony was born. I was happy to do it, since Chinchillas are one of my favorites.” They smiled fondly as they continued to talk. They could talk all day about the creatures. If any pony would let them, and was willing to actually listen. Shaking their head, they said “I’m sure too…and I’m glad I get to care for the three.”

The light purple and white unicorn made a happy little sound. Though then squeaked when the other brushed up against them. They blushed and shook their head. Saying “It’s…it’s fine,” but then quieting their self before saying something like how it wasn’t like they’d disliked that.

she had managed to make a couple fresh batches of butterscotch cupcakes, placing them behind the glass counter and the display stand before taking a breif break to look at a couple of order tickets. she had already made a variety of sweets a couple of days ago- including yesterday and the other day. she moved a hoof through her now braided mane, making sure that any rouge hairs were tucked back into her hairnet, organizing tickets by complete and incomplete...which was only a few incomplete orders...which she can get done with ease if she managed her time more.

calliope's ears twitched as the bell above the door notified her of a customer. she turned her head towards the door and beamed, smiling at a pony that she has never quite met before, "good morning and welcome to calliope sweets- or if you are here for weaver's tapestries, then her shop is just up those flight of stairs," she smiled as she used her hoof to point over towards the spiraling staircase that led to her sister's shop. maybe they need a sign or something that will draw attention to her sister's shop more, but that was something to be discussed later.

"you are welcome either way, feel free to ask any questions if you have any."

he glanced at them, nodding slowly, "agreed," he mumbled. he turned his head a little when they said that sleeping to much was bad, "and yet i still do it anyway." and as if on cue, merlin yawned, only to cover his mouth with his hoof. "sorry for that," he grumbled. he then looked at them and nodded a little, "he's not that bad though," after all, he has been practicing.

he glanced at them as they answered his question, nodding along. "i suppose that is fair." although he didn't have anything else to add on to the conversation. he honestly did not know what to add on. merlin really hasn't been the one to touch on the subject of death, but he'll listen. although it was interesting to know that chinchillas were nova's favorite animal...or well one of his favorites. "that is fair enough- by the sound of it you do seem to enjoying taking care of them and...well know a lot about them i'm sure."

when they arrived at their shop, she quickly retreated upstairs to her shop, thanking her sister as she had brought a little something for her to quell her hunger until lunch. maybe that is when they should drop buy that little magic shop? something to think about- and maybe mention to their father when they return home. surely he'd be interested in something like that?...probably, probably not.

she smiled a little before opening up the balcony doors to let a little air and sun in this gloomy room. she decided to step out to refresh her brain- clearing the cobwebs out before returning back to her work area- moving across the floor to collect the cobwebs that were gathering in the corners of her shop- and that was when her little spider friend crawled out of her bag and out in the open- more than likely to spin another web. spider weaver greeted milton with a wave- and it waved back before disappearing somewhere in the room. she giggled a little before humming a tune as she got her loom set up for the day.

violet tilted her head a little, raising a hoof to catch her glasses before it slid off of her eyes or face. "is that so?" she thought for a moment, "well, I wouldn't want to turn such an offer down if it means exploring somewhere new." she had the whole town to explore after all, but why not explore the outside of it first? but she frowned a little, furrowing her brows in thought, "but...after you close up shop, correct? I don't want to pull you away from work-" even though she kind of already has, "well, more like...away...from the building," she waved her hoof in a circular motion, trying to help her thought process, but she couldn't explain it very well, but hoped that berry would get a gist of what she was saying- or at least was trying to say.

She was playing in her room, on her headphones in her ears, and music to the fullest. She didn't know the outside world at all for the moment as she was focusing on the game and listening to the music. Sometimes she woke up to reality as she noticed that her drinks and snacks were empty on her computer table, which made her end her gaming for a moment and walk to the kitchen to take more. Only to notice that her fridge was almost empty "Oh great" she murmured to herself as she knew that she needed to go outside to the market which was not so close to her home. She kept listening to her music even still, she was preparing to leave the house, she looked at her computer for a moment, wondering if Comet was at home "Hey, Comet Gem? If you're home, do you want to come out with me? I need to go to the market?" she made chat on her computer to her gamer friend.

They nodded to their brother's plan to have race to the front gate, knowing that on the run he could be faster, but if they used their wings they could indeed be faster. They ran for a little while, but as closer their golden brother went to the gate, they decided to use their wings and flew past their brother and landed other side of the gate "Well dear brother, you never told me not to use my wings on the race" they said with a laugh.

Some of the others including Moonlit Danger left the ship to go to the town, shop, eat, or meet their families. He also still had his parents working at the Golden Castle, but he didn't think to be so welcome there, and he didn't really want to go there either. He got one of the intact hanging swings on the deck and lay on it to relax
