Sootstorm laughs and starts to pad out of camp. He sees the stranger exit the camp and turns to Crookedpaw "Should we follow them?" he whispers to the cream apprentice, instinctively dropping into a hunters crouch as to not be seen.

Larksong laughs and shakes her head, "It was a single mouse. However any prey was a rarity so you can guarantee I bolted after it." Larksong looks over to see Specklesong and meows a greeting "Are you here to listen to the story too?" she asks flashing him a big smile.
Crowflight rolls onto his side, moss sticking to his ragged pelt. He closes his blind eyes and lets the sun hit his pelt. The black tom tunes out all the voices around him, something he had gotten quite good at (especially because of his talkative sibling) and starts drifting off to sleep.

the tom nodded crouching beside sootstorm to follow cloudfur. "psst where do you think they're going?" the tom asked in a hushed meow. his ears perked as he listened to the retreating cat leave the camp.

Cloudfur took one last look at the clan before exiting the territory and going to find a place to bed for the night.

Cloudfur found an acceptable tree and claimed it before they decided to hunt for mice.

Sootstorm shrugs "Who knows.." the grey tom trails off as he quickly follows Cloudfur, making sure to stay downwind and a good distance away so they wouldn't know they were being followed. Sootstorm stops and hides in a berry bush once reaching the border and waits for Crookedpaw to catch up "They went over there!" he murmurs pointing towards a large oak tree with his tail, watching the white cat sniff the air in search for prey. Hopefully they don't smell us.. The small grey tom thinks.

Cloudfur crouched low as they waited for a mouse to run by; after a little while they finally caught a squirrel which wasn't what they were looking for as Cloudfur wasn't sure if they could eat it all.

Cloudfur took the prey back to their tree they caught a scent of another cat.

"Umm hello?" Cloudfur asked.

The scent was very fresh, but Cloudfur didn't think they had been followed, but then again they weren't listening because Cloudfur didn't doubt Mothstar would send a cat or two after them to keep an eye out.

"Are you in need of something?" Cloudfur asked cautiously.

They wouldn't say no to a cat in need, but they didn't want to be taken advantage of or attacked since they were out of clan territory and wasn't sure where other clan terrtories lay.

crookedpaw slunk after sootstorm following closely behind him as they stalked the other cat. his ears perked as he watched the cat sniff the air and then call out to them "should we answer them? crookedpaw asked sootstorm cautiously. he didn't think about what they'd do if the cat eventually caught wind of their scent although it had been undoubtedly unavoidable.

Sootstorm shakes his head "let's see what they do first. No point following someone if you give yourself up the moment they ask." he whispers, flattening himself to the ground, careful not to rustle the leaves of the berry bush.

"Hello?" Cloudfur yowled a bit louder.

"Are you hungry or lost?" They asked nervous that there could be a potentially hostile cat that they would really rather avoid fighting.

"I can catch another squirrel if you're hungry, but I can't help if you're lost I'm lousy at directions." Cloudfur laughed nervously.

I don't bite, or scratch. I just want to make sure you're alright." They tried to reassure. "Please don't make me fight."

Cloudfur really, really didn't want to fight, but they weren't sure if the lack of responce was due to a hostile cat trying to not give away their intentions.

crookedpaw nodded well i guess that is true... he thought. copying sootstorm, he pressed himself closely to the ground paying attention to making sure he didn't make any sort of noise. as the cat yowled louder, he got a tad bit nervous as they mentioned fighting but felt relieved as he said he didn't want to fight. "well what should we do? it doesn't seem like he's gonna do much of anything.." crookedpaw meowed very quietly as to avoid detection from the stranger cat.

Sootstorm thinks for a moment "Well they did offer us some fresh kill." he murmurs licking his lips "Let's pretend we're hungry rogues... Half of it is true." Sootstorm pushes out of the Bush, the berries staining his pelt red, somewhat matching Crookedpaws red colouring "I'm sorry.. My brother and I.. We're just really hungry, our mum went out looking for prey yesterday and she hasn't come back.. She told us to stay here so we did but we haven't managed to catch anything. " the tom meows flattening his ears sadly. Luckily because of his small size Sootstorm was easily mistaken for a young cat.
