Blizzardclaw watched Rockhopper in the corner of his eyes to be aware of his surroundings. “Yes! Definitely great, I know Littlestar will be thrilled with how much we’ve caught,” he told him and nuzzles against him some. “The apprentices get the next birds though, hopefully they see that working together is better than not,” he sighs.

Cloudfoot's ears flattened at Starlingvine's surly, impatient tone. He couldn't blame her, however. Tired, starving, and having just woken up, it made sense that the she-cat would be in a bad mood, but for some reason he didn't expect the cold bitterness from the the warrior. Unfortunately though, he needed to put the needs of the whole Clan first, whether she liked it or not. With a twinge of frustration growing in his center, the deputy decided to cut to the chase, "I'm leading a border patrol. he said bluntly, "When you're ready, please meet me by the camp entrance."

Pinepaw growled to himself and quickly escaped back into the apprentice's den, curling back up in his nest. Despite having eaten, the hunger pangs only seemed to get worse. The apprentice hated this way of living, despite having lived like this for the majority of his life. He just wanted to be back at his mother's belly. "Why did StarClan have to abandon us?" he thought aloud, "It's not fair." With sadness gripping Pinepaw's heart, he dug his nose into the fur of his tail, trying to relax. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep with the pain in his belly and the chatter outside, but he wanted to at least relax before his mentor or another cat came to fetch him.

Blizzardclaw purred softly as he was nuzzled and glanced as his children joined them. “Yes teamwork is always good. Helps especially when there’s multiple prey around - you don’t want to scare them all away to catch one. But also helps when it’s something larger anyway, like a hawk.” He watched Rockhopper cover their fresh-kill and looked at his kits, “you ready to keep going? you scent anything nearby?”

Mistwing sat with her tail curled neatly around her paws as she waited for Rowanheart and Stormpaw to finish discussing locations to look for herbs. She looked up at the sky and saw that it had become noticeably darker, maybe her wish had come true- for some reason- and rain was coming to replenish their short water supply. That same confusion washed over her, but she shook it off as nothing and refocused on herb locations. Mistwing had never gone herb-searching before, but slightly recognized a few of their names as they were being thrown around by the medicine cats. This was a habit Mistwing had started to notice in herself since the destruction of the Moonpool, getting distracted for a few seconds before shaking herself back to reality.

Blizzardclaw purred as his friend joined him, cleaning his paws a bit as his tail curled around Rockhopper some. "Hopefully we'll find another flock of birds if we didn't scare any off. Or something else to least give our clan a bit of a feast until another hunting patrol goes out later."

Spottedpaw nodded a bit and tried to focus on the surroundings, listening to any small sounds rather than her father and Rockhopper's chatter. She tasted the air before she began to race off to follow a scent of what she believed to be a vole, she was eager to have it for herself later. Of course it was no rabbit, but they have all seemed to have left when starclan abandoned them as well.
