xxxxx"Th-thank you..." Plumbshade supported herself on Pebble-
nose's, solid frame trying to calm her panicked muscles and weak bones.
"I hope he finds them!" Plumbshade breathed heavily and shock. Her kits
were the only thing left she had to live for. Where would I go? how
would I eat? I am alone. Plumbshade exaggerated these statements in
her scattered mind.

xxxxxThe only reason I am still here is because of them.

xxxxx"Uh oh!" Skykit muttered under her breath in panic. "Look over
there Leafkit!" Skykit poked her sister and whispered.

xxxxxLeafkit heeded her sisters panicked warning and glanced in the
direction of Crystalstar, Rainpool, and Moonthorn, (though she couldn't
recognize them because she didn't know anyone's name besides Crystal-
star) They all looked like ominous shadowy figures to her.
xxxxx"RUN!" Leafkit whispered frantically to Skykit who was already
ahead of her dashing towards the forest. Leafkit followed her terrified
sister and collapsed into a bush panting.

xxxxxSkykit shock as she turned around to spot Leafkit flopped on the
cold earth. The bush was full of dew and the kits thin fuzzy pelts
were soaked.
xxxxx"Come on Leafkit! We are out of the camp like you wanted!"
Skykit felt a knot of dread form in her stomach as she said these words.
"where-to next sis?" She added poking her sister in the ribs
while trying to keep her heart rate down and catch her breath.

xxxxx"I don't know..." Leafkit trailed off trying to remember her surr-
oundings. "Were those Darkforst cats?" Leafkit replied while picking her
muddy pelt off the cold soil.

xxxxxLeafkit and Skykit had heard stories of such cats from the warriors
and were utterly terrified of them. Just the though brought shivers down
their spines

xxxxx"I-i don't know..." Skykit replied and though hard about the tales
she had hear about the gigantic cats that where banned from starclan
(whatever that was) and had to live in the Darkforest. (where even was
that?) "I though Darkforest cats were banned and could not walk through
our territory anymore?" Skykit thought out loud.

xxxxx"I don't know..." Leafkit though but didn't really care for the truth.

xxxxxThe two kits were now licking the mud off of their pelts and
shivering from the cold.

xxxxx"Lets start moving, we should dry off and warm up if we start
running around!" Skykit proposed to Leafkit helping her stand straight.
I guess you were more terrified than me... Though Skykit who was able
to stand on her tiny frozen paws just fine.

xxxxxThe two kits wandered through the forest trying to warm up.
Completely forgetting the camp, and the fact they ran away. Only re-
membering the warmth of their mother and soft nests temporarily before
finding something interesting to forget their troubles with.
xxxxxPine-cones, little rivers and enormous tree's captivated the minds
of the two kits and they wandered, half frozen and numb in the brain,
farther and farther away from camp.
xxxxxEventually they grew exhausted and wearily found a tiny "den" in a
tree filled with moss. This is where they laid their frozen bones and icy
wet pelts to sleep, -- in a slumber like death.

Pebblenose slowly led Plumshade to the warmer patch she and her siblings had been sat in. 'Do you want me to get you something to eat, or get Willowheart?' she asked, softly. 'Cloudfur's good, he'll find them. And I can help later on.'

Cloudfur pads around, concentrating on the scents. He caught one. His eyes brightened as he began to follow the kit-scent, trying to find Leafkit and Skykit. He began calling out. 'Leafkit? Skykit?'

xxxxx"Thank you but I am not hungry, and don't bother Willowheart."
Plumbshade sat down and breathed slowly trying not to think about
what happened to her kits. "Thank you for you help!" Plumbshade
added as earnestly as she could. "I don't doubt anyone's skills. I only
hope he doesn't find them in any other state than alive." Plumbshade
didn't know how else to say her gratitude but she was deeply thank-
full for the clan's immense compassion.

xxxxxdid an eagle grab them? how long have they been gone? skykit
would never venture out of camp? did she follow her sister? why would
leafkit leave? are they far? are they -- dead?

xxxxxSkykit's mind gained conscience and she though she could hear
voices. Everything was black though. She could have sworn she heard
her, and her sisters names called, but it was far away. So she thought.
xxxxx"Leafkit!" She called as loud as she could. But only just barely
squeaked the words. Her eyes began to open but everything was blurry
and distorted.

xxxxxLeafkit faded in and out of conscience hearing her name called
faintly by Skykit and other sources alike. Never waking enough to
answer them though.

xxxxxStarclan, where ever you are! help us, -- please! Skykit begged
as she felt herself start to slip back into slumber. Before she did
though, she let out an high pitched and hoarse "SQUACK!", the best
she could muster, in hopes of someone -- anyone -- hearing her.

Pebblenose nodded, settling down next to her. 'They'll be fine.' Pebblenose assured, although she wasn't sure herself.

Cloudfur's ears pricked up once he heard a distant yet distorted and throaty SQUACK noise. He immediately began heading that way, praying hard to StarClan that it wasn't a hawk or a rogue. 'Leafkit! Skykit!' he called again, hoping he was going the right way. The tom broke into a run as the scent began to get stronger.

DawnFire raced through the woods hearing the kit. Her fur bristled and she came across a bird. Sue had no time to hunt right now. She raced on,
the bramble thickets scratched her fur making it bleed a little. She just wanted to find the kits.
(Also, if you want to you can be DawnFire's mate! ^^}

Cloudfur reached a tree where the scent stopped. He sniffed around, before noticing tiny marks. The kits! He found an opening and inside were two tiny, shivering bundles. 'Oh my StarClan...' he whispered, eyes wide. Cloudfur looked inside. There was enough space for him to get in there. The fluffy tom squeezes in, nudging Leafkit and Skykit closer to eachother, shivering at how cold they were. He lay down and brought them closer, to keep them warm. 'How did Willowheart do this? Oh!' His mind flashed back to his sister's lecture, and he began to lick their fur the wrong way, to hopefully warm them up. He prayed that another cat would appear.

Cloudfur looked relieved when Dawnfire squeezed in next to him. Once he felt the kits were warmer, he looked at her. 'Dawnfire. Can you run back to camp and get Willowheart, please?' his eyes were dark with worry. 'I don't want to move these two just yet. Tell Plumshade we've found them.'
