Oakfur let out a yawn, finally starting to wake up a bit. It took her a few more minutes before exited the den fully groomed. Oakfur padded around for a little bit just glancing around camp. Lets see, no one has came to get me so I assume I'm not on a patrol. Oakfur thought, a bit relived that she didn't have to do anything this morning. She liked being out at night more anyway. Oakfur noticed she was somewhat padding towards Batear, and with shrug she went ahead and made her way towards him. "Hey Batear!" Oakfur called out when she was a bit closer to the young tom.

Thornclaw replied getting to his paws. "Sorry to keep you waiting this morning." Thornclaw added with a small grin on his face. He turned back towards Daisybreeze and dipped his head to the she-cat. Mudpaw quickly made his way over to Tornleap and others, curious to see what Tornleap had to say. Mudpaw looked over at Thistlepaw when Tornleap said it would be a 'training patrol'. Mudpaw wasn't to big on the idea. He didn't really have anything against Thistlepaw, but why could he train with an apprentice his age? When Mudpaw started to think about the apprentices his age, his gaze wondered back over to Brindlepaw. A medicine cat still hadn't went over to her. Mudpaw folded back his ears, guilt clawing at his belly.

Licking her night-black fur quietly, Magpieclaw had been expecting a peaceful day, not a scruffy blood-stained rogue to just appear out of nowhere. Blinking in surprise, Magpieclaw was tempted to call him out on his messy state but refrained from doing so. Afterall it appeared her comrade, Thunderspark, admired him for whatever deed he'd performed. Getting to her paws, Magpieclaw approached the rogue cautiously and uncertainly. The stench of fox rolled off him and stung her nose, and it was obvious that he was the victor of whatever scuffle he'd caught the fox in. ''Y-you fought a fox?'' Magpieclaw mumbled, nodding her head solemnly. ''Impressive.'' Just wait until she got home to tell her brother that she'd spoken to a rogue who'd so casually walked into their camp after beating up a fox. Sheep smiled at Thunderspark as he offered to share his meal with her. "I'd love to, thanks." She was about to settle down to eat, when a familiar face made his way into her den. She did a small double-take as she noted that he was covered in blood and heavily scented of fox. Had he managed to take down that fox that was slinking around some of the best hunting areas? "Morning, Venom, I see you've already had quite the day. I hope that fox didn't give you any bothersome wounds." She politely dipped her head to the tom, then followed his gaze to the crowd of eight strangers behind her. "They aren't Redclan cats. They're from the mountains, I can't find it in my conscience to just leave them to wander aimlessly around the meadows. I doubt they'd take land from us like Redclan does." Sheep wasn't one for violence or holding grudges, but she did find it a nuisance that such a large group of cats swooped in on land and claimed a big patch of it for themselves, while driving out all outsiders who simply wanted to hunt or drink from the lake. Her head twisted to the side to give Magpieclaw a friendly greeting, then looked back at Venom.

"Have you seen the mountains, Venom?" She quickly changed the subject, as if trying to sooth his tensions. She trusted the tom enough to assume he wouldn't suddenly attack them in her den, but it was all a little overwhelming for her. "These cats tell me that if you cross that giant thunderpath a few pastures away, you can see their outline."

Honeygaze's ears fell back as a strong scent of blood entered the den, and an intimidating [admittedly rather handsome] tom came to pay Sheep a visit. While she was very intrigued by him, she didn't particularly trust him. She had never been the best judge of character, but that look of slight hatred in his eyes as he gazed out at her and her clanmates sent chills down her spine. There was that name again, Redclan, a name that was strikingly familiar to her, from a memory earlier than her journey here to the country, but she couldn't quite name it.

"You can." Honeygaze added onto Sheep's comment, trying her best to mask her distrust of this "Venom" character. "It really is lovely." A small smirk played on her lips, feeling a bit of pride in her home.

Huffing softly at her claim the rouge stared cautiously at the eight cats before lowering down. Laying silently, he listened to sheep speak and licked some blood off of a free paw. Believe what you may sheep, but these are clan cats. He thought silently as he peered up from his task.Narrowing his eyes on the cats in front of him, he shook his head. They had all the traits of Clan cats. They were Unified, and even now they were working as a team. He could see each one thinking in the same light as another. He could see their pride, their confidence, their causiousness, and it didnt slip past him that they seemed to gravitate towards one another when he seemed to get close. Though, he didn't voice these observations. If Sheep wanted to believe that they were Wildcats from the mountains then he would let her, but he knew better. Clearing his throat he gave a small nod "aye, I've been there. It's a long journey with no reward." He meowed blankly as he puffed out his fur. "Unlike our lush forests the mountain peaks are barren. Little prey with many dangers. I recall my time there to be bleak at best." He meowed simply and sat back up. The more he began to dwell on the fact that these cats were from the mountains, the heavier suspicion coated his fur. The mountains, in his opinion, were inhospitable at best. Unlike the Meadows that surrounded them. so if they were clan cats, there must have been more of them. And if so why was the small party of cats here so far from home? were they looking for something? Possibly a new place to stay? He didn't know, though if this was the case- if he was right..He would be more than happy to kill them before they could report back. The last thing he needed was more Clan cats and less prey. Needless to say it would be problematic. Shaking his head free from the thoughts, he pushed them to the back of his skull. He could think more on this later.. Coming back to reality, he cleared his throat and shook out his fur. Cringing his jaw he turned and licked a large bite mark on his hind leg, and four scratches that had been dragged down his chest. "Though I do have to admit that many of the medows predators are more hostile then in the mountains. It's easy to wound a hawk when it's weak points are made of brittle bone and feathers, and it's moves are predictable. Hard to wound a fox when its weak points are guarded by sharp teeth pointed claws and stacked muscle." He admitted before sitting straight and Flicking an ear. It was at this moment when his cool gaze landed on HoneyGaze, his eyes sliding slightly as his gaze turned thoughtful. "You would be wrong to trust me kitten, so I would advise you not to." He teased charmingly, his eyes flickering in amusement as he turned away. He might not be able to outright attack or offend these cats but he could at least try to play with their emotions .

Ashenpaw practically leapt to his paws in excitement as they both headed towards the outside of the camp, Tanglebranch leading the way. They passed through the entrance of the barn, and as Ashenpaw got prepared to race his mentor towards their usual training area, he was surprised when instead they stopped just outside. He turned towards his mentor, confusion cleanly written in his features, before Tanglebranch told him they were going up. Ashenpaw grinned happily at the challenge, jumping up and clinging to the barn wall with his sharp claws like his mentor had shown him long ago. He clung tight to the wall and hauled his small frame upwards, trying and failing to beat his mentor to the top. He had a few slips, nearly being sent toppling down once, before he had managed to pull himself up and over the edge safely standing on the roof. Ashenpaw turned to his mentor with a big smile. "How did I do? Was it better then last time?" He asked, eager to improve what he could.

Disgruntled that none of them had heard her, Magpieclaw took a bite of a nearby mouse. Gulping down the delicious creature, the quiet warrior listened to the others. She had nothing to add, nothing to say and it was going to stay like that. Looking up from her small lunch, she looked at each one of the cats in turn. Her green-eyed gaze finally rested on Ivypath whom was equally suspicious. ''Don't worry.'' Magpieclaw murmured. ''Venom here was just bragging about his latest battle with a fox.'' The tuxedo sighed. ''I mean...who goes picking fights with foxes?''

Gingerly placing the squirrel and rook that he'd caught onto the prey-pile, Icecloud looked about the bustling camp. Everyone was busy, but him and that suited him just fine. The white hunter had something to do anyway, something that he very rarely did. Treading the winding and weaving path to where the dead cats lay, Icecloud sat crouched over his mother's shallow grave. He did not notice Foxflame mourning her own dead ones, and it was only when he got up to leave did he notice the sad queen.
