Another clan meeting. Another cat dead.
Another cat soon gone.
Would they exile the murderer?
Even if they did choose the right cat, the
accusations flying around and harsh comments
would leave scars of betrayal running deep in
the hearts of the whole clan. Perhaps this was
what the murderer had intended, to break the
clan from the inside and turn clanmate on clanmate.
The cats of Riverclan seemed to distance themselves
from one another, because after all, the prophecy had
said to trust no one, right? No..No, they couldn't trust
their own clan, because even a lifelong friend or a
loving mother could be a murderer.
That's why they had exiled their first deputy, because
the whole 'loving mother' act could've just been a
shameful facade.
But it hadn't been. Of course it hadn't been, and yet
the clan had been quick to turn on their deputy, and
would turn on their loyal deputy yet again.
"I vote to exile Rowanheart, he was awake for some
time last night!" A voice called out. Rowanheart
looked over to find the voice belonged to Foxtail,
"Blazeheart didn't seem like a killer. I couldn't sleep
with the thought of myself taking a role in her exile
weighing on my mind". Foxtail only rolled his eyes,
while Frostystar's gaze darkened as she glared at
the newly made deputy, "Rowanheart, you are no
longer part of Riverclan for the murder of Stormtail,
Bramblestorm, and Spidernose. Leave now or you
will be chased out" Frostystar spat the words out as
murmurs of agreement came from the clan. The
accusation of killing his clanmates clearly stung
Rowanheart, as he visibly recoiled and cowered as
though the words themselves were the murderer
waiting to prey on him.
When he didn't move, Frostystar gracefully jumped
down from her position above the clan and advanced
on Rowanheart, flanked by Foxtail and Fallowstep.
Letting out a yowl of fear, the tom turned and ran
from his clan, from his home, from everything he
loved.
Rowanheart had barely made it out of Riverclan
territory, heading towards Thunderclan where he
hoped to meet Duckpaw and Blazeheart, when a
large black and white tom jumped out at him.
Confused, and blinded by the pain of his clan
exiling him, Rowanheart slashed out fiercely, though
only managed to land a scratch across the rogue's
nose before a set of fangs latched on to his throat.
Another innocent life lost, Riverclan.
Can you trust nobody?
With Rowanheart exiled, Frostystar appoints Foxtail
as Deputy.

The hoot of an owl sounded over the gentle
hum of cats saying goodnight and heading to
their dens. No one mentioned the murderer,
but everyone was thinking the exact same
thing: were they right this time? Perhaps,
but then again, the clan hadn't been all that
lucky recently.
There were few cats left in camp when Crowpaw
crept out, using the shadows and his fluffy, black
pelt to his advantage so that he could remain
undetected.
The moment he was out of camp, Crowpaw broke
in to a run, each paw landing without a sound. He'd
seen the murderer. When Rowanheart had been exiled,
he'd seen the glint in their eyes, and he knew: this
was the cat who he had seen murder Stormtail, who
had chased Spidernose to the waiting rogues. If he
could find Rowanheart, then perhaps he could ask for
help in getting rid of the killer among Riverclan. If
he mentioned it to anyone in the clan, then he might
be called a liar and exiled himself. His only hope was
the newly made loner, Rowanheart.
Crowpaw's former clanmates, now in Starclan, watched
as the apprentice slowed, the scents of death and
Rowanheart merging together. But any evidence of the
murder of Rowanheart was gone: no blood, no signs of
a fight, even his body was gone. The murderer can't have
struck again, he'd seen them heading to their den before
leaving camp. This had to be the work of--
"Ah, Crowpaw!" The apprentice instantly felt a wave of
fear crash over him as though he'd fallen into the stream
and was drowning. The murderer. Crowpaw turned, slowly,
to meet the murderer's eyes. Cold and calculating, they'd
planned their attacks perfectly as to leave no evidence
behind. Crowpaw wouldn't let his last action be one of
fear, and so, puffing out his chest bravely, the small
apprentice confronted the killer as though he had a
whole clan behind him, "What you've done to Riverclan,
you should be ashamed of yourself! Working with them
to break the clan apart, it's the actions of a sly, cowardly
fox!" Crowpaw's fur bristled when the murderer stepped
towards him, their face only a mouse-length away,
"Crowpaw, I'm not simply working with the rogues, I've
always been one of them, and we'll chase every single
one of the clans out and claim their territories as our
own" A cruel smile spread across the murderer's face as
they stepped back, signalling to two rogues who emerged
from a wall of nearby bushes, "Don't worry, you can go and
tell Rowanheart all about me now".
The murderer left, heading back to Riverclan, while the
rogues took care of Crowpaw. He fought bravely, and
managed to land a heavy blow to one of the rogues' heads
before being pinned down. He shot the cats one last
defying glare before a fatal blow was delivered to his
neck.
Your last witness is gone, Riverclan!
