The Exile wrote:a fresh wave of tears sprang to nettlesplash's eyes
when she realized her clanmates concluded that
she was the killer.
"what? how could you think that? i just want every-
one to live and be happy..." nettlesplash argued
weakly, stepping away from the cats.
the clan had now gathered around the leader's den,
looking at her suspiciously. she had been checking
on pondberry and conversing somewhat, not seeing
the clan quietly gathering around.
nettlesplash glanced around, wide-eyed, taking it
all in. most of the cats seemed resolute, though
there were still some that expressed their sadness
at the consensus.
without another word, the she-cat ran out of the
camp, letting out a small hiss when she briefly
snagged her coat on a nettle leaf in the process.
shortly after that, a twoleg found her and brought
her back to its nest. she let it take her, the will to
live lost. she was nothing without her clan. she had
just wanted it to thrive, and thought of all the cats
as her children, even the ones that were older than
her.
nettlesplash still lives at the twolegplace, but will
often sit on the fence and gaze tearfully out at the
forest that was once her beloved home.
riverclan, you exiled an innocent cat. your clan
is decreasing rapidly in numbers.
