Lily reaches the river and listens to Bear's question, giving him a shrug before speaking. "I honestly dont know." she said. "I normally catch whatever I find. After all, any food will feed the tribe so thats all that matters."

MIST THAT COVERS THE FOREST

Mist saw the edge of the rock path which led directly into the middle of the valley if she jumped off the rocky slope. She pushed herself harder than before and with a great effort, she leaped. Everything felt like it was in slow motion. Mist saw Bee about to leap at the Hare, and the unsuspecting Prey eating some grass. Her paws hit with a thud about two yards away from Bee and the Hare, when it looked up startled and saw the two cats.

Storm shook his head, knowing that this conversation was going nowhere. "I-I'll be leaving now..." The shy and quiet Tom stood up and turned towards Sunteller's den. He slipped inside and saw her helping Mouse. "Oh! I hope I w-was disrupting anything!" He pinned his ears back and stuck his tail in between his legs. The tall and lanky cat shifted his weight so he was leaning towards the enterance to the main cave.

Horizon nodded, watching the guard leap up into a tree that was nearby to check the area for any of the mountain goats. She turned and continued her climb up the mountain, stopping every once in a while to scent the area. Her whiskers twitched in excitement when she picked up the musty scent of the goats.

The kit-mother turned her head to look for Fox, nodding her head in the direction she had scented the goats once she caught Fox's attention. Horizon turned back around and began stalking the small group, waiting for one to wander off on it's own.


Bear nodded, watching Lily as she started hunting before turning his head to watch their surroundings, making sure that no danger was nearby. The tribe recently didn't have to worry about the large mountain cats like they use to when they first settled in the mountains, they had to worry more about the eagles and other large birds that liked to pick off the smaller tribe cats.


Bee looked up, just as startled as the rabbit was. She didn't think Mist would've caught up to her this fast. The hunter to-be gritted her teeth and lept at the hare just as it started to run. Bee missed the hare by a whisker-length, cursing to herself as the hare took off.

The Siamese to-be took off after the hare, pushing herself to run harder and faster than she usually had to. Since they usually hunted on the rocks, Bee was use to using stealth to take down her prey, so she wasn't use to having to chase her prey down. Bee closed the distance between her and the hare, pouncing on the brown animal and sinking her teeth into it's neck.


Sunteller looked up when she heard Storm. "No, it's okay." The she-cat smiled, getting to her paws and crossing her den to greet the tom. "What can I help you with?" She asked.

Hiss suppressed an amused snort when Moss finally saw what he had been waiting for her to notice. "You need to pay closer attention. Scenting for things is good, but you need to be looking for danger as well, Moss." He mewed.

"Now can you try and see who is on the hunting patrol?" Hiss mewed. When he was a to-be, the guards had to train their eyes to see better than the other tribe cats had to.


Sunteller thought for a moment, considering Mouse's question. "I've never thought of having them do that before." The she-cat mewed before smiling. "I'll definitely have a patrol do that the next time they head towards where dock grows." She purred, touching her tail tip to Mouse's ear before putting away the herbs that she had taken out to show Mouse.

"Alright." Was his only response to Storm getting up and leaving, an ear flicking idly.

Thyme's ears pricked up as he took note of Storm standing. "Ah, I think now is your chance, Petal." He stated with a small chuckle as the tom did in fact walk away from his brother. "Still willing to try this?"

Mist purred at her friends victory and trotted over to where she was. "Great job Bee! For a minute I thought that neither of us would get it because I scared the darn thing!" Mist smiled, and looked at the Phesant behind her back when it's head rolled off her shoulder. "Well, at least we both got something, and they're about the same size too, so that's good." Mist turned so Bee could get a full look of the creature.

Lily scans the water, making sure her shadow doesnt cast on the water. Spotting a fish, she slowly raises her paw, aims, and quickly scoops up the fish with her claws, biting its neck.

"One is separating from the group horizon! Ill come up on its right flank you charge it's left." She slipped away where it could see her and awaited horizon to come at its left so she could attack.

letting out a proud purr, he squints, watching as bee still caught the hare despite the sudden scar by mist and her pheasant. "looks like i get to choose our meal." he says with a chuckle, swiveling his pale gaze back towards frog, his green orbs glinted with amusement. "nice catch bee!" he calls down the valley, nimbly maneuvering his way down to the to-bes with surprising speed for his large build. he stops next to mist, grabbing the large bird on her back and pulling it off to carry it for her. "would you like to try for more, or go back with this?" he asks, his gruff voice muffled by feathers

"start thinking up some flirtatious lines, alright? you might want to try practicing your strutting too." she teases before standing and padding over to sage and sitting next to the antisocial tom easily. "good morning sage, nothing to do?" she asks, curling her tail over her paws thoughtfully.

The sigh was almost impossible to really notice, less an actual sigh and just a slightly more forceful breath. "No," was Sage's only response, eyeing her almost suspiciously after his eyes flickered back to Thyme. Hadn't she been talking to him? Why was she over here now?

Thyme snorted softly as she walked towards his brother. Because of the condition of him having to actually hear for the bet to be valid, he was kind of just sitting vaguely nearby, silently hoping no one would really talk to him so he could actually pay attention. While acting as if he weren't paying attention.
This had been a bad idea. Why had he agreed to this?
