Oceanpaw looked at Rustkit, "I don't recall having sent you kits out to collect water... Plus, Dapplefur wouldn't have sent out kits. She would have told me..." Then she listed as Thunderkit told the truth, "You kits know you aren't supposed to be out of camp. It is dangerous out here." She was aware of a black-colored tom, in a cave in front of her and the kits. However, the kits would be unable to see him, as it was a dead cat (Crow). She looked back at the kits, "Let's get you three back to camp." She gathered the three close with her tail, and started to take a shortcut back, making a mental note, to come back to check out the cat, that she could see. Not wanting to alarm the kits, she made no voice of the cat's presence.

Before he was scooped up he looks behind him. He saw Oceanpaw looking at something but couldn't tell what it was. He turned back and ignored him self the part that wanted to say something didn't say it. As they left Thunderkit felt a sharp pain in his paw. "Ow!" He screeched. He picked up his paw and there was a really big thorn in it.

Swiftkit rolled her eyes at Oceanpaw. "Whatever..." she muttered so she couldn't hear. I can take care of myself! She thought. She broke free of Oceanpaw's grip and walked ahead of them by herself.

Oceanpaw took note of Swiftkit's attitude, and narrowed her eyes slightly. Hearing Thunderkit hiss in pain, she turned to face him. Seeing the thorn that stuck out of his pad, she rested her tail on his shoulder, "Hold on..." Gripping the thorn in her mouth, she made a quick motion, pulling it out, she spat it onto the ground, "Can you make it back to camp? I can put ointment on it then."

He hissed loudly in pain as it came out. He saw blood immediately replace the thorn. He tried to put it onto the ground but of course it hurt. He quickly pulled back up but nodded as he started limping.

Swiftkit was concerned about Thunderkit, but fought against showing it. Instead she continued to arrogantly keep walking with her head held high.
