Riverpaw
The apprentice smiled. Not many people asked him about the workings of a medicine cat apprentice, or at least not in a genuinely interested way. Since there was really not much else to do, Riverpaw took a seat to relax. "Well," he began, "There's a lot of them. And they have their different uses. You have to have a good sense of smell, otherwise you could mix up juniper berries and death berries, sometimes its hard to tell them apart. I think my favorites are the herbs that help little things. Not infections or green cough, but poppy seed to help you sleep, or thyme to help with anxiety." He appreciated the open ear, and felt a little bad for Losteye. He was the only elder, after all. Riverpaw was glad he was able to talk with him. "What was it like when you were an apprentice?" He asked, curious.
Sharppaw, Rapidleap & Stormpatch
A loud yowl jolted Sharppaw from his slumber, and his first thought was the clan was under attack. He ran out of the apprentice's den, adrenaline pumping as he tried to find the source of the noise. it was unmistakably from Sunpaw, yet he could tell from the scent that she wasn't in the camp. He ran over to Rapidleap and Stormpatch, out of breath, "I, phew, I um, where's Sunpaw?" She must've been close, right? He could hear her so vividly, it was so loud.
The warriors looked at Sharppaw, inquisitive. "I think she's out on a patrol," Rapidleap replied.
"You look like you had a bad dream, huh? Why don't you calm down a bit?" Stormpatch added, snorting with laughter at the nervous tom.
Sharppaw was confused. "Didn't you hear that scream?" The warriors looked at each other, then back at Sharppaw, shaking their head. "I'm telling you, I heard Sunpaw scream."
"That's impossible," Rapidleap said, "If they're hunting, they're probably near Golden Plains or something. There's no way you could've heard her."
Why didn't they understand? He knew what he heard, it was loud enough to wake him up after all! Regardless of whether or not he had their support, he was going to go check it out. "I have to make sure she's okay," the tom asserted, "It sounded like she needs help." Without another word, Sharppaw took off, following the scent of Sunpaw.
Rapidleap sighed, "I'll follow him, keep him out of trouble. Once he sees Sunpaw is okay, I'll take him back." And with that she quickly caught up with the apprentice, following him.
