Lynx Heart stepped on a thorn. He let out a low hiss in pain and ripped the thorn out with his teeth. He then set the paw down and limped forward.

Glass Gaze's ears angled towards him. "Are you all right?"

Lynx Heart meowed, "I'm fine. Just a thorn, that's all." He limped along, not wanting to slow down the group.

Glass Gaze moved closer to him. "Are you sure? You could go back to camp, if you'd like."

Lynx Heart shook his head. "No, I'm perfectly fine. Just a thorn." He wasn't going to be seen as weak. He could handle a thorn in his paw.

Light Dawn

Light Dawn followed her mentor and the patrol through the tunnel and into the territory. As she padded behind them quietly, her ears angled and her eyes flicked to the side on alert. As the cats reached the border, the apprentice was on alert, watching for a thin tabby she knew lived on the outside.
Hearing a yelp, Light Dawn trotted to join her mentor and a she-cat named Glass Gaze. "Lynx Heart, are you alright?" She saw that he favored a paw and wonderedbolif he had possibly tore a claw or something.

Dark Pine

Dark Pine sat in his den, pressing leaves with his black paws and for better storage. He had gotten through half of the meager pile sitting beside him already, though he hasn't been up for too long. He really needed to go find more herbs today; there were only two juniper berries left, and his daisy leaves were all shriveled. Maybe some more mint? 'Hm..' Dark Pine continued his sorting, lost in thought.

Lynx Heart insisted, "I'm fine. See." He held up the paw, and a few drops of blood dripped onto the snow. He shrugged and continued on.

Flake Stream looked at his paw funny, face scrunched up, and then stupidly pointed out the obvious, "Well, it's bleeding."

"I'll walk with you back to camp, so that you can have it seen about," Glass Gaze offered.

Lynx Heart shook his head, "No, I'm not going back to camp. It's just a little blood."
