"Well the practice part I got." Raggedpaw joked in a dull voice. "Can't we just find a hole and wait for prey to come out of it?" He asked, sitting next to his mentor, still dripping with water.


(I have Dreamrummer open, and Silverpaw and Featherpelt are in the forest, Smallbelly is talking to Reedstar)

Razorheart glared at him. "Shh." The warrior stood up and crouched down, then, using his back legs like they were springs, launched himself into the air with a powerful kick. The jump was high enough that he had time to assess the reeds below him and twist his body accordingly. This caused him to land without disturbing a single stalk as he vanished into the reeds. There was a gargled croak, and a few moments later Razorheart's head appeared, holding a rather fat bullfrog. "See?" He called to Raggedpaw. "It's all in the concentration!"

Raggedpaw's eyes widened, surprised, but he tried to hide it "erm, well...you've been doing that for a while now!" He meowed, standing up.

[Waspsting]

"You're right, I have," Razorheart replied, "But reeding- that's what we call anything that you do in reeds, whether it's fighting, hunting, tracking, or something else- was on my warrior assessment, and it's going to be on yours. We'll go one step at a time. Today, listening and locating. Next time, the jump. After that, angling your body so you land between the reeds, and so on and so forth. Make sense?"

"Not really." Raggedpaw meowed, blinking and looking at the bullfrog his mentor caught.

[Waspsting]

"Too bad. Figure it out." Razorheart dropped his frog and scraped some of the mud over it. "Ready to start?"

"Just don't fall in again." She purred, quickly leaping from her perch, flicking her tail, rather saying, continue on. She padded through a gap in the reeds, going back to retrieve her kill. With her whiskers twitching, she uncovered the prey, grasping it, then, unsheathing her claws. She climbed up the tree, and padded along the branches until she reached her original spot. Feathertail settled herself down once more, watching the training session.

Jaypaw sighed and and shook off the dust from his pelt and looked around hoping to see his mentor.

Reedstar spotted her apprentice on the far side of camp. "I'll talk to you later, Smallbelly," She meowed with a smile, standing up. Shaking out her pelt, she trotted across the clearing. "Good morning, Jaypaw! Ready to do some training?"
