She lay down in the nursery and wondered when her kits would come. She sighed as she thought of her mate in his two-leg nest. What was he feeling? She asked her self. She wanted him to be apart of the small clan, but she didn't want to pressure him. Everyone just assumed that the father of her kits was one of the warriors from their old clan, but died in the fire, but she wanted them to know. "Why is it so hard?" She thought out loud in a quiet voice.

He looked around the camp and started to think about how they could improve it. It seemed like it was going to be a cold leaf-bare. He could already feel the chills of the night air as green-leaf turned to leaf-fall. "Maybe we should all be in the warriors den untill leaf-bare passes." He thought out loud. He looked around to see if he could spot anyone to talk to.
