Silverfeather sprung at Fadepaw, snarling and hissing but keeping her claws sheathed. She lumbered toward him, and rose her paw and brought it crashing down hoping to unbalance her apprentice.

Fadepaw lunged backwards and quick as a flash jumped right over his mentors head landing a fair distance behind her. He spun on his hind paws to face her again. "How was that?" he asked, his ears ringing from the smack of his mentors paw.

"That was good!" She praised. "Your speed is your greatest ally against a bigger opponent. See how you can counter attack." She said as she lunges at him, giving him plenty of room to dodge and strike back.

Fadepaw glanced over to Stormfur, worried he had offended her somehow. "Umm, I dont know, what move do you think I need to work on the most?"

Ripplestar slowed to a stop panting hard, "Well you win." she said bemusedly.

Ravenclaw purred and climbed down the tree.Then he rubbed muzzles with his mate/leader

Fadepaw jumped to the side and lashed out to part Silverfeathers fur with a claws-sheathed paw and then jumped over to the other side and kicked out with his hind paws to tap his mentors shoulder. He tried to spin around again on his front paws, but he had too much momentum and toppled over landing on his side. He hissed with annoyance at his blunder.

Ripplestars ears pricked up and she turned to face the wind, her jaws parted to catch any scents "I smell fresh fox." her tail bristled as she heard rustling not too far off. "Quick get back into the tree!" she hissed at Ravenclaw.

Silverfeather twisted side to side, genuinely confused by the flashes of fur. She let out a fox like snarl and leaped at him again, testing his reflexes as she lunges at him again, hardly wasting time.

He rolled out of the way, jumped back onto his paws, and using a nearby tree, jumped off the truck and over his mentor again. Landing on his paws, he instantly flashed towards his mentor to snag one of her paws out from underneath her, hopefully before she could figure out where he was again.

Silverfeather was ready this time, and let her paw lose traction. She let momentum take her and she grabbed Fadepaw in her paws taking him with her as she rolled. She leaped off the ground and pinned him to the ground. "That one was good and would have fooled a real fox. I liked the tree bit." She praised. "But I couldn't help it. Instinct." She let him up and crouched down. "Do you wan to keep going with offensive tactics or are you done for the day?" She smiled.

Stormpelt just sat on the stump with her jaw practically on the stump. She can't believe how fast fadepaw was! " wow"
