Creamleaf flicked her tail and smiled. "I will show you how to hunt, Hawkpaw." She mewed to the apprentice. "Watch me." She lowered down and turned into a hunters crouch. She stalked quietly through the leaves and checked the wind with her tail. She squinted her eyes and pounced on a leaf. "Try that, sniff and look for a mouse and do that." She mewed. She saw Hawkpaw sniff and turn into a hunter's crouch, he did what she showed him. He squinted his eyes and pounced on the mouse, he had claws out and picked up the mouse. He put it by Creamleaf. "Did I do good?" He asked. Creamleaf nodded. "Yes." Hawkpaw smiled and looked around. "What about a bird?" He asked. Creamleaf smiled. "Do the same but when the bird trys to fly away grab it's wings and pull it down to the ground then put your paw on it and kill it." She mewed. Hawkpaw nodded and smiled. "Okay, Creamleaf." He mewed. He sniffed and looked at the sky. Hawk! He stared at the hawk. The hawk swooped down and slashed Hawkpaw's face. Creamleaf gasped and grabbed the hawk's talons. She bit it as it struggled to get away. Hawkpaw stood up and faced Creamleaf. Blood dripped from his face. "Creamleaf..." He mewed and blinked. He was very hurt. Creamleaf grabbed Hawkpaw and ran to camp.
