{ Mirela }

Mirela huffed a little to herself, admittedly she was still irritated that Aroken had turned tail and run from her. It didn't make sense, what did he think she was going to do? But Mirela supposed that dwelling on it wouldn't help anything, so with a toss of her head she put those thought firmly away and began to focus on where she was going. "Where AM I going?" She exclaimed in bewilderment, suddenly glad that she had decided to head to the pond early.
Turning around in a circle she frowned and tilted her head, eventually closing her eyes and simply sniffing the air. Finding the right pond in a marsh or a bayou was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but at least Mirela figured that if she could pick out a strong Kelpie scent along with stagnant water smell...maybe she'd find the right area.
Mirela was so engrossed in what she was doing that she didn't even realize that she wasn't alone until she rammed into a large, and very solid, living creature. Snorting in alarm the mare leaped backwards, eyes narrowed worriedly as she tried to figure out who -or what- she had rammed into. But when Mirela realized who it was that she was looking up at...she let out a gasp of both surprise and delight.
"Fenris?! Is that you???"

{ Fenris }

The large stallion couldn't fathom what he was doing. It was one thing to quietly and unobtrusively pass through a herds territory, but quite another to actually enter it and go looking for a Kelpie. In his defense he would have sworn that he had scented Mirela, and Fenris knew that if he missed her he would regret it. Still, it seemed to be positively mad of him to be traipsing through this herd's territory, the last thing he needed was a fight with some ornery herd stallion! Besides, for all he knew Mirela had finally found a place she could belong to, and it would be positively selfish of him to disturb her. Why force her to relive such terrible times? He asked himself quietly. Mirela was only lucky that she had been so young when it all happened, the memories wouldn't be so vivid, so fresh.
But Fenris remembered, he could still hear the bloodcurdling shrieks, the furious whinny's, and the sickening thuds of bodies hitting the earth. Every waking moment he could see it.
Shuddering the stallion forced those thoughts away and focused on the Mirela scent he had picked up on earlier. He would have sworn that it was getting closer to him, and with a flicker of hope he wondered if perhaps she was searching for him as well. HE came across her quite suddenly though, she had her nose in the air and seemed....lost. Stifling a snort of amusement he watched as the silly mare walked a few unsteady steps towards him. He didn't expect for her to ram into him, but that was precisely what she did.
Still watching her in amusement he felt a familiar happiness when she opened her eyes, it was soothing to him, seeing that her brilliant blue eyes hadn't changed a bit since he'd last seen her. Even though she'd gone from being a lanky yearling to this beautiful mare. Arching an eyebrow he shot her a friendly grin,
"Long time no see, right Mirela?" He murmured, the same protective feelings from the past rising up within him. And suddenly it was as though they had never parted ways.
