[ Decided to add Absinthe to my pile of kirins. I sense a pattern with my boys, all being of a graying color with lots of white. xD
I'd add Aisling and Zachary too but I think five is too much for me to handle. :u ]

Absinthe:. Looks, bull, loner, 20

He almost always kept in the outskirts of the herd, not mingling much with them and he stubbornly decided to wander off alone, thinking he did better like that rather than being slowed down by a bunch of kirins he felt no bigger desire to socialize with. His blue eyes swept from the kirins at the water hole to the ones resting under one of the big trees that cast a dark shadow over the field where some others grazed, they settled for a moment at the dark figure of Thorin and his ears snapped back for a moment before he gave an annoyed snort and turned his back to the rest. He wandered a bit further off with a bored yawn, feeling restless underneath the annoyance that held a tight grip upon him.

Where he was standing on the hill the wind seemed stronger and it pulled at the hairs of his tail, making it move softly whenever he shifted on his spot, dragging it behind him rather than holding it up from the ground. Absinthe settled for staying there on his spot, keeping his eyes on the fields and hills stretching out on the opposite side to where the kirins were keeping. He didn't see himself as a part of the herd yet he kept lingering around, grabbing the attention of the cows whenever they were willing to give him their company.
Something he knew the old man Bentley didn't like, which made it a lot more fun in a way.

-------------------------------------

Bentley:. Looks, bull, 34

Being deep in his own thought Bentley had only acnowledged the company around him with a respectful nod before he had stepped out of the water to graze by the edge where the grass were short but sharp green and fresh as it grew to reach higher towards the sunlight.
He didn't jump into any conversations that were held around him and rather listened halfly to some of them speaking, deciding it was for the best that he kept out of them at the moment. As his muzzle was pressed against the ground, teeth ripping grass upp and grinding the straws before swallowing them he kept his eyes in the direction where Winter were standing in the shadow of a tree with the company of Darius and Fenyetta.

He felt the muscle in his legs twitch, wanting to move closer while a bigger part of him told him to stay put, not to interfere in what they were talking about. The hide by his shoulder trembled at a bite from a bug, making him snap his head up to scratch the itch with the lower set of his horns. In that moment his gaze wandered from Winter and her company to a figure upon the hill at a distance, someone he recognized as Absinthe and the fur upon his back bristled from annoyance that the bull still crept around the herd when he did not belong to it.
Bentley was sure that the striped male wanted nothing else than to steal some of the cows to start his own herd and after clashing horns with him several times he didn't see the other male in a good light.

That presence was enough to make Bentley move, thick legs shifting and hooves thumping hard against the ground as he made his way a few steps closer to the two females and the short-tailed male by the tree, visibly tense and annoyed.

~*.:Fenyetta.:*~

I was starting to grow really unpatient where I layed, the position itself wasen't the problem. The problem was that I easily lost my patience and of a constant fly pestering me. I glared at the little insect with a hatred in my look, but quickly moved my attention back to Winter when she spoke. I noticed that she spoke ever so softly and had a calming aura around herself. But as she spoke there was one thing that puzzled me massacres? What in the world was Winter talking about?
I waited till she was done before I looked at her closely to see if I could catch a reaction from her:
''Massacres? Winter, what in the world are you talking about?
And well yeah, maybe the word God was a bit of an overraction to say I do still stay with my point. He does act like he owns the place. Well okey he does actually, but what puzzles me is how he has the guts to even show his face after just abandoning you guys like that. I know he is an old friend as you put it, but if it was me I would have had a slight disgust to him. And no offense, but at the moment I really am growing one. Afterall how could he even walk out like he haden't been gone a day? Being arrogant is one thing, but he does atleast owe you guys an explanation. And I don't care if he has to talk about his whole lifestory in the end. He stills owes you one.
And the fact that you guys seems to respect that he dosen't is just twisted''

I had to take quite a deep breath after I finished talking, I had said all that in one breath. Not bad, not bad at all.
I was intrested in hearing Winter's reply to this, but I decided to stand up first. I tucked my legs underneath me before standing with ease up and shock my pelt lightly. It was mostly a habit to puff out my tail a bit then placing it carefully on the grass, but this was the least that was occupying my train of thoughts at the moment.
I didn't really register Winter's playful manner with raising a brow at me, but I narrowed my eyes slightly at her. Yes, I had complimented her about her calming aura earlier. But she really couldn't be that naiv.. Could she..?

All of these thoughts and even more of them ran through my head over and over again, at the point where I wanted to scream. But I flicked my ear and moved my gaze when I noticed Bentley walking closer to us. How odd, Bentley wasen't really the type of Kirin who interfered or joined in for that matter in conversations. I felt a bit nervous now, I couldn't really say as freely now my opinions on the new leader and his sudden apperance with the old leader almost right beside me. Awkward.
What if he ratted me out? No way did I need that. But... Why did he feel the urge to come closer all of a sudden, I moved my gaze past Bentley and noticed a figure. And I could swear my heart skipped a beat when I understood who it was. Absinthe.
I felt a bit annoyed at myself for how I reacted when I noticed him, but then again he was a good looking bull. If I was ever thrown out maybe he would accept me if he ever made his own herd? That thought came unexpected on me and I quickly moved my gaze to something different, but I didn't knew what. I hated myself for how I was feeling right now, but looked up at Winter with a calm look. Well as calm as I could manage to make it. But I had a growing feeling why Bentley had moved closer to us. Not to interfer in our conversation but to show dominace, to be sure that he wouldn't lose 2 cows. Or maybe in this case, 1.

Just by the look in Reiki's eyes, Thorin could tell that this cow had something bigger in her head, and that she was as curious as the next kirin. He wouldn't reveal it all, as some of it was private for him to know only, but he knew that he couldn't let some questions just hanging in the air. "Yes, there were more predators than what we find out here where it is plain and flat," he said. "More trees and hidden places mean more areas for carnivorous creatures to lurk and keep out of our sight."

"If you just tell me, then I'll give you an answer," Amnesia said, her voice cool and light. She could tell just by the subtle hint of mocking in his voice that Cyrano had something up. He was a usual bull in the herd, and she knew that, knowing males, he would want a female for himself. She had seen him toying with other females too, so she wasn't unaware of it. "I just can tell you have something on your agenda," she continued, words slurring into a melodious harmonic pitch. It seemed to suit the light brown-almost purple female kirin. The only thing stunning about her was probably the ice blue color of her eyes, and maybe the fact that she had the lightest of faded dapples resting on her otherwise solid coat. The marking around her eyes were white and light, highlighting the blue hues that seemed to flourish surrounding her pupil.

    CYRANO | the troublemaker |
Cyrano chuckled, letting out somewhat of a sigh. The large bull towered over the female kirin, studying her carefully as he always did. Auds erect, he set his burning golden eyes on her striking, icy ones. "Not every bull that approaches you is pursuing you, Amnesia. Not surprised that you think that, though, for there aren't many as attractive as yourself. All I was in search of is some entertainment, ya see?" Cy decided to throw a compliment in to soften down the rest of his statement so that hopefully, he could keep this conversation going long enough to go somewhere with it. Out of the corner of his eye, his curiosity drew towards the depths of the forest as he pondered what lurked within it.

Amnesia blushed at his compliment, as it was something that came so naturally to her that before she could stop it, the light pink hues already had shown up softly blending in with the almost purple color of her cheeks. Cyrano's eyes were interesting, and the bull liked to look at kirin in the eye when he spoke to them, and Amnesia was somewhat intimidated by his firey, bold orange eyes. He was taller than her, and she stumbled to find words, "I didn't mean it that way, I'm just a, uh," she paused, searching for the right word to describe herself, "flighty kirin." Yes, flighty was right in more than one sense. She was startled easily, and had the softness of a cloud in her voice, but she also moved as though she could fly. She blinked to get rid of the constant eye contact for a moment, and her eyes darted to the green grass at her hooves. "Entertainment?" she mumbled, though her mumbling was quite clear and still like the verses of a song. "You thought you could find something interesting here?" By here, she obviously meant herself, as Amnesia was shocked. She knew the names of all in the herd, yet was too shy to speak with them.

    CYRANO | the troublemaker |
The young bull looked at her skeptically. "Well that was sure how it sounded," he replied, lowering his head to take another mouthful of grasses. Chewing slowly, he raised his head back up, casually glancing over his shoulder at the rest of the herd as he swallowed. "Eh, everyone will get their fair share of me at some point, I'm sure." he smirked at the thought of the rest of the cows and bulls thinking of Cyrano as some annoying dimwit. He may be annoying to some- but it is purposeful, and to his own amusement. But dimwitted? Cy was just the opposite. "What do ya say we go for a stroll and I'll explain my intentions, if that's what ya really want?"

Amnesia was hesitant, to say the least. This bull, his mannerism and elocution was so different from her's. He was so up front and his words were filled with raw honesty, for example he'd say what he thought even if it could hurt someone else's feelings. At least that was the vibe Amnesia was receiving. Though, she was quite curious to hear what he had to say. After a pause and a sudden glance up with her icy eyes, she replied with a soft and soothing, "Alright."

    CYRANO | the troublemaker |
With a sly grin the kirin took off into a smooth, leisurely trot, though slowed to a walk for the cow to catch up. Swiveling his large head around, his nostrils flared as he took in the scents around him. "Alright, then we're off." he called back, swishing his draping ebony tail out to the side. Her voice, like her appearance was soft and intriguing. Amnesia was a typical outcast, but different from many of the others in the herd. Cyrano wanted to see what information he could get from this female, and what sort of challenging situations she may put up with. He read the cow quite well on her demeanor and personality, now it was time to dig a little deeper. It is unfortunate that most often, Cyrano approached social stimulus as a task to gain something-whether it be information, a good laugh, or a friend. Something.

Winter watched Fenyetta carefully as the tirade went on, and kept a serious, but still understanding look in her eyes as she nodded here and there at things the cow said. Even at such an early stage, this was certainly not going to lead to any kind of good if it escalated. Worstly, there wasn't any sure thing that she could do to quell the young cow's confusion and distrust, except for adamantly attempt to help her understand the point of view that she herself currently held on the matter. Thorin, as long a time as it'd been since they'd seen him last, had, eventually, come back. What was being overlooked here, is that he didn't have to come back at all. With such a very small number of survivors, and with all of them assuming he'd perished, he could have easily started a new herd elsewhere and left this one to Ben. Yet, here he was now, grazing among them. This was his home too, and he, rightfully so, had probably always assumed it welcome to him once he'd come to terms enough with what had happened to return. He'd probably never given a thought to how any newer herd members might react to his sudden return.

When Fenyetta finished, and all in one breath at that, she stood quietly and expectantly for an answer in her usual manner. Winter pondered her own response to this for a moment, brushing off the bothersome word "twisted" as it tried to linger, and then leniently continued. Her voice got real soft.
"The massacre that started it all happened when Thorin's father was lead. One day, with little warning, a rival herd proceeded to move into this territory and violently drive ours out. Many were killed in the process." she paused, and then shifted her weight a few times before moving on. "A year later, we were led back to these grounds to reclaim what was ours. It was that final, terrible battle that we lost the most, and in the midst of it all, our leader fell. But because of what Thorin did, their leader fell too, and we won." she gave a soft snort, and then added. "Our herd might not be here today if he, and those who fought so bravely by his side, hadn't stood up for us those many years ago. So we at least owe him our patience for what can't be undone, and the chance to redeem himself for it in the present." Noticing with a slight turn of her head that Ben had moved closer, Winter turned her head the rest of the way to give a soft, welcoming smile in greeting. She hadn't noticed him there to start with, but she was now honestly bemused by how close he'd come. It wasn't often Bentley came and stood so near to a clustering like this, unless...

The fur bristled along her spine as she suddenly took in his annoyed posture, and she turned to face him entirely in seemingly one movement. And just like that, her attention quickly drifted away from the previous subject. At least for a while.
"Ben? Is there something wrong?" she offered quietly, glancing quickly back to Darius and then Fenyetta with growing angst. But then, in a heart-beat, she noticed that lone bull, who stood watchfully atop a large hill. Absinthe. "Oh, no." she scorned under her breath, her pulse returning to normal now, but tilting her chin down with mild dislike as she eyed the character with the striped coat. Absinthe was one she didn't know much about, though what she did know of him was nothing but trouble. He and Ben had been into it more than a few times over his activities involving the cows, so she always tried to stay well out of his path. Lowering her head so that it was nearly level with her shoulders, she warily paced a little closer to Bentley, and then gracefully returned to her previous, elegant posture. Her ears swiveled carefully atop a feminine, well sculpted head, and her tail flicked ever so slightly on the end with tension. What was he up to now...

~*.:Fenyetta.:*~

I was glad when Winter started talking again, that way I could focus on something else then the lone bull on the hill.
I did get an answer to my questions and I really did appreciate how Winter explained in such a lightly manner, but the serious look in her eyes made me feel slightly threaten. I did straighten up my posture more, yet another who would have thought I should have kept my mouth shut or just kept my thoughts to myself. As Winter kept on talking I felt a slight irritation, I could understand her point perfectly. What I don't understand is why Thorin left in the first place. Yeah sure the massacres sounded like an awful thing that this herd had to go through. But when a leader leaves his herd that means he is done, leaving. Why would he come back?
I was about to come back with a response to her, but just to be nice I was going to word my thoughts a bit differently now as Bentley was near. I did flick my tail slightly annoyed when Winter lost all focus on the subject and I really didn't wanted to look up at the bull on the hill, afraid of my reaction. So I lifted up my head and flicked my tail before walking a few steps closer.
''I can see your point Winter, and I do understand that you have a close relationship to Thorin as a friend'' I took a breath trying to form my words just right not to offend Bentley or Winter for that matter, then a thought struck me. Darius. He had been awfully silent so far. I gave him a quick glance but decided to continue on my sentence before I completely went off track with this ''but why did Thorin even leave in the first place? The massacres had to be a awful time for the Kirins. But when you won that was the time you needed him the most. And he betrayed you guys by leaving this herd. Now what confuses me is how you can still love him like he never left. He left you guys when you needed him the most and dissapeared for several years''
I kept my voice in a calm tone, but my eyes revealed me the most. They showed confusement, slight sadness over of easily my opinions could be forgotten when some Kirin dissapproved them and great stubborness.
That's why I was trying this in a different angle. But as I was done talking I looked curiously up at the hill again. I haden't seen Absinthe that many times, but he was a mysterious bull. Which woke up my curiosity quite a few notches.
But I did hold my place, almost at the same place where Winter stood last. I was confused over my options now.
A chance of leaving this herd, which I bet would be a relief for more than one Kirin as now they wouldn't had to deal with a moody cow who couldn't keep her mouth shot. Or stay.
I shock my head lightly, I was lucky to being able to stay in this herd. Who else would want me to join their herd?
That's right no one. I was for no help, I had never fought, never been trained to fight nor could I help other cows through their pregnancy. I was useless. I forced myself to keep a calm posture, but was afraid I was failing drastically. So many emotions was going through me I just wanted to gallop off. Away for awhile to collect myself. But I couldn't. Not now with Absinthe here and everyone worried about his intentions.
