Moonpelt stopped licking Birchpaw when Morningstar started talking. She listened attentively and waited to be called on a patrol. She was really excited for moving and couldn't wait to get out and stretch her legs. When Birchpaw left to talk to her sister, Moonpelt watched sympathetically. She, Sunpaw, and Mousenose had gotten into quite a few fights before. They didn't talk much now though. Moonpelt shook her head to clear it and looked toward Morningstar in anticipation.

Phantom silently crept to her cover near the camp. She didn't want to be too close to the camp, but she wanted to be close enough to start picking them off quickly. She also wanted to see when the next patrol left, so she could get ready. This vantage point gave he both the camouflage her white fur needed and the clear view of the camp while still being far enough away. As an added bonus, she was upwind. They wouldn't know what had hit them!
