((I don't do romance much, so excuse my bad attempt of making Djinn seem like a lover boy. XD))
Djinn's chest slowly rise and fell with his light breaths. His paws worked slow as he made his way back to the den. The Dingo-Eater absentmindedly nodded to himself, he deserved a break. Even if he just went a little out of his normal routine to check out the territory. A dejected huff left him as his thoughts drifted back to his younger years when he was active enough to explore. However, those days were gone, and although he missed them dearly, he did enjoy the quiet rests now and then.
Even so, the easy life wasn't all so bad. Right now, he could feel the cool breeze caress his fur, gently slithering over his skin. The air was fresh and it brought scents from over the territory, even if he couldn't see them, at least he could smell them. Nonetheless, what he could see wasn't so bad either. Perhaps they weren't the most exciting views, such as an overview of a glistening lake or a lush valley, but what he saw made him content. As he walked through some wild brush, he spotted very few of his pack mates lingering around. Although the ones that were there were really just lazing about, he loved all of them nonetheless. His pack, his friends, his family.
“Djinn.”
Djinn pulled his head up and turned to the side. “Vanya.” Djinn's voice was soft and laced with love as his lips curled up and his wet tongue flopped out in a compassionate smile. He may be old, but his love for his mate never would, that's for sure. His tail wagged to and fro as he slowly lumbered up to his mate. Her red fur shone under the sun's rays that filtered through the canopy trees. Her fur was ruffled, but as always, looked as soft as ever. So beautiful. Djinn's fur probably was in the same condition, though he could feel slight oddities here and there, so he assumed he might have gotten a few sticks or leaves caught in his fur. Oh well. After his short walk, Djinn was tired and a bit hot, and he was eager to go rest.
“What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be resting?” He lightly teased her, but then again, he wasn't resting either. What could he say? He moved toward her, muscles already aching from his brief trek, but he didn't care. The Dingo-Eater just wanted to be closer to his love. In his contentment, his tail lightly beat against his heels as he lie his eyes upon his mate.
“Shall we go back to our den and rest? It doesn't seem there is anything new today.”
