Lithe's gray form slipped from a shadowy den, secluded from the others in the gentle shade of a few tall aspens. She had her normal grimace on, but her movements seemed more rigid this morning. Maybe it was the cold, or perhaps it was because today was the day that, two years ago, her father had left. Everyone knew to stay away from her on that day, but today they seemed to be even more excluding. No one so much as glanced at the ash gray she-wolf. Lithe didn't mind though, in-fact, she enjoyed it.
Lithe did sense something was up, whether it included her, she could care less, but there was definitely something different about camp this morning. Lithe padded toward the camp entrance, only to spot the Alpha female bellowing at some unruly pack member that she was not familiar with. She shrugged it off and continued toward the camp entrance, sniffing about for the elk that the pack had downed a day earlier.
Lithe noticed the Alpha female heading toward her. She lowered her head, knowing that she must, or be punished, and murmured a greeting. The Alpha's tail was lashing, and her face wore an expression that could only be described as grief-stricken and outraged. The Alpha stalked closer and snarled, "You yellow-bellied, rat-tailed, stupid, anti-social, loner!" she screeched, her eyes narrowed as she stood over Lithe. Lithe cowered, never had she experienced such utter hatred. Her clung between her legs and her ears where plastered to her gray head. She made no move to respond, seeing as her sarcastic retorts would to no good.
