Honeybrook watched his clanmates return, covered in wounds and some just barely holding on to life. He wasn't su
re how to feel. How could their former clanmates inflict such things upon cats who they had shared tongues with just m
oons before? It was Palestar's fault, he knew. Only a wretched sort could continue to follow such a cat. Though, he knew
most cats had little choice. Letting out a defeated sigh, he turned to look at Sagepaw. "I doubt it. Even with all of the
collecting we did in preparation, I think we have more wounded than expected." He replied, looking at the herbs they
had. They were well stocked on cobwebs, Honeybrook had made sure of that. He was lucky it was newleaf, and herbs were
growing in abundance. Otherwise, barely any cats would get healing at all.

Needletalon was tired. Her exiled clanmates had fought long and hard, but returned to camp defeated. They hadn't e
ven rescued the apprentice. Poor thing. She licked her wounds, ignoring the stinging as she felt rain lightly drop onto h
er them. Some of them would leave a mark, and she'd never get the tip of her tail back. She glanced at Serpentpaw, gl
ad the apprentice seemed to have no wounds. The apprentice wasn't the best fighter, Needletalon had learned, and sh
e considered Serpentpaw lucky to be alive.
The battle had felt strange, but Needletalon felt strangely detached from her former clanmates. If those against Palest
ar could just stand with them, they would easily crush his supporters, right? Instead, they cowered against him and rem
ained loyal to their "clan". Needletalon let out a quiet, frustrated hiss. Eventually they would win and take back their c
lan. For now, all that needed to be done was healing, training, and careful planning. To Needletalon, at least.

It would get better, wouldn't it? Pigeonswoop hoped that was the case. She enjoyed the rush of fighting, but not aga
inst former clanmates. Why was she doing this, anyways? She wasn't going to complain, of course, just hope that things
would change for the better. Her wounds were minimal, and she'd probably not need to do much besides clean them o
ut and make sure they didn't get infected. The rain hadn't help set a much happier tone, but it was fitting for the situa
tion. She felt horrible as she noticed Spottedpaw being attended to by Blackbird. How could someone do that to an ap
prentice? She redirected her gaze to look up at the sky. "Starclan.." She mumbled.

Juniperpaw couldn't think about anything but the battle. He ignored the pain he felt from the gash on his side, or t
he scratches on his chest. To say the least, Juniperpaw was frustrated and annoyed. He didn't want to fight his clanma
tes. He didn't care about this mouse-brained pure-blood business that had turned his once notably more enjoyable life
into whatever it was now. He didn't care about Palestar or the Hawks or any of the cats who believed what they said a

ne of his surroundings. His thoughts were the only important thing at the moment.
