Riverclaw glanced at Lynxpaw from the corner of his eyes then back to Blackstar, unable to answer his apprentice question yet at the time. Luckily for the two, by the time the meeting came to an end, Tigersiege was giving out orders. Orders that summed up an answer for the young cat about what they would be doing. "Looks like we are on a hunting patrol." He said, lifting up onto his paws to prepare for the patrol.
Upon hearing the following words from his apprentice, a faint and warm smile appeared. "Thank you, for your concern, Lynxpaw." A friendly nudge to her shoulder with his head, wanting to show some form of appreciate for the she-cat. "I'll be fine. It's best if we concentrate on being of use and helping our clan." With the ending of his sentence, he began to search for Heronflight in the mixture of pelts, anxious to get down to business. Despite how few cats there were, the tom shouldn't be hard to spot in the mix.

For a few passing moment's, Jaguarpaw laid soullessly, his body coming off almost strained from the recent turn of events. It would seem from afar that the tom was lost in a daze, but in actuality he happened to be having a struggle with reality, lost to the a never ending turmoil. Why? Just why? The only thing to repeat in the tom's head while he didn't oppose his training thoughts of distraught, but went along with them. The more the apprentice was sunk into his own head, the more the bengal tom began to have an immense amount of anger ascending from within in response to the sudden realization that there were probably more deceased cats than those who survived. Starclan thieved many of their lives ! If not, than why would they not have been warned at least?
Suddenly, Jaguarpaw's face came into contact with something warm and gentle, the simplest yet genuine touch snapped him out of his thoughts. Lyncpaw? Lynxpaw's touch couldn't have been anymore soothing for him than it already was, and it helped to ease his mind and body. "Yeah, me too." A murmur of words were the only thing to come from his mouth, almost overcome with complete guilt for even being one of the many to be alive. It's not that he didn't treasure his life, but just how many younger cats lost out on their lives in which they had barely lived out? Was this really okay? It didn't take long for him to see that nothing would ever be the same. Everyone could try and move on all they wanted, but escape was futile. History has marked this event with it's bloody claws to forever claim as it's own, planting it's a seed to grow as old as time, for even when he dies or anyone else for that matter, there will still be someone to tell the story of this event.
Growing aware of his surroundings now, the apprentice realized a meeting was occurring. It peeked his interest even if he was a little late into what was going on. When the meeting was adjourned, he lazily watched in the direction of his new deputy, Tigersiege. Who better than her? He wouldn't argue with Blackstar's choice. She mentioned his name to be apart of the cats on a patrol along with his mentor and another clan mate. Great. Something to get back into action. The mere thought was a passing one, but at least it was positive this time. He'd give anything to not be in camp right now and the newly appointed deputy granted that without knowing.
Blue orbs scanning the perimeter, Jaguarpaw's mentor soon came into his sight. The she-cat was a formidable warrior and he was proud to have her as a mentor. He quickly rose to his paws, trying his best to stand tall to not give away any signs of weakness in his body. The only thing he worried for was the mood she'd be in and his concerns only grew by the shortening of distance between them. Anticipation revealed in his swaying tail and it's occasional twitch.
