Silverstar watched the clan for a bit longer, enjoying his peaceful moments. Patrols would be heading out soon, hunters would go to refill the freshkill pile, and then there were the patrols along the boarders. He couldn't help but notice that Mossclan had been unusually quiet. He'd have to make a plan to take a few tonight to investigate closer. For now the far borders were important to check for outsiders. Perhaps a patrol would be able to see a familiar outsider who could share with them a few secrets in exchange for a trade. He'd run it by Crowflight later.

He made his way down from the ledge, soon spotting his apprentice. He made his way over, "Hope you slept well, we've got a lot of work to do today, assuming you're up for it." His voice was lighthearted, almost joking around, but overall friendly.

Shadowstep had watched Foxtial approach, soon taking a seat in front of Tigerstorm but between the two toms. Mostly since Tigerstorm didn't tend to talk unless it was specifically about herbs and new ideas. He was notorious for being bad at small talk, only really good at things he was passionate in.

"Good morning Foxtail." Shadowstep greeted the tom, "And we slept just fine. The night was clear and sleeping under the stars is always a pleasant bonus. What about you? Catch plenty of mice in your dreams?" There was a slight teasing tone, She liked to try to get under the fur of others just a little bit.

He had nearly made it back to blissful sleep, pretending to be unaware of anything. Unfortunately he could not be unaware when his tail was stepped on. "Hey! Oh-" He saw it had been Salmonpaw and that she was already on her way out. He probably should have followed and pounced on her as revenge. Guess there was no pretending to be asleep now though. He begrudgingly dragged himself out of the apprentice den and into the morning light which he did not want to be near.

━━Morning light filtered into the den, which danced on Coalfur’s gray pelt. He let out a yawn, lifting his head slightly before resting it on his paws once more. He didn’t want to get up just yet, but once he sensed the sun’s rising, he just couldn’t go back to sleep for some reason. He let out a sigh as he slowly awoke, rubbing a paw over his eyes to chase away the last bit of sleep from his eyes. His tail flicked back and forth as he glanced around the den, seeing that some of the warriors had already left the den. Slowly he rose to his paws and stretched, tending to his pelt for a moment and headed out of the den. He headed toward the fresh-kill pile, selecting a bird before scanning the camp. Spotting the queen Creamflower, Coalfur slowly approached the molly. He set down his meal in front of his paws upon reaching her. “Mind if I join you?” He asked, his tail swaying slowly.

━━Dustypaw woke up bright and early that morning, already out and about in camp, practically looking for trouble. His tail thrashed as he bounded from one end of the camp to another, not really caring if he woke anyone up in the process. Most cats slept in way later than they should anyway, so he was doing them a favor by waking them up earlier. His mentor didn’t seem to be up at the moment, but that wouldn’t be a problem. The problem was this - there was nothing interesting going on! Well he’d have to fix that. As he stalked off to find something to get into, he noticed other cats leaving their dens. That would make it a bit more challenging to get into trouble, but no matter. Most wouldn’t bother with him anyway, so now he just needed to find out what his task for today would be. Hmm.

Foxtail grins softly before making a low purr. "Not quite... birds actually, having wings has allowed me to catch my favorite prey all the easier, it's quite nice actually" His ears perk up a bit to glance over at Briarpaw before turning his attention to Shadowstep again, tucking his wing in before his tone turns to a teasing one in return. "Chasing after other cat's shadows yet or you still looking?" He then extends his other wing to groom it, purring softly to himself in the process

Creamflower hears a voice and turns her head to see it was none other than Coalfur, smiling. "Be my guest!" she answered. She takes another bite of her fish, savoring the delicious taste.

Poking her nose into the medicine stores one last time, Scarletbark made a final runthrough of the herbs. She sifted through the pungent odors, taking comfort in their familiar scents. Everything seemed to be in order. The medicine cat slipped over to the entrance of the den, tucking her slender tail lightly over her paws. Her bright jade eyes glinted from the half-darkness of the den. This was her favorite spot to sit and see what new developments would unfold within the camp. From here she could look out for the apprentices’ mouse-brained schemes, or listen in to interesting rumors.

As Salmonpaw rubbed a paw over her ear, smoothing back the ruffled fur, she paused mid-groom to see Hawkpaw emerge from the den. Her whiskers twitched, satisfied to see the younger apprentice finally awake. Now they’d all be up and ready to go! He didn’t look particularly happy about it, but a little wake-up nudge wouldn’t hurt that much. Probably. Scenting her mentor approaching, Salmonpaw turned away and leapt to her paws. She dipped her head respectfully to her leader, before chirping a reply: “Yep, I’m ready! What’re we doing today?" Her tail lashed in excitement, the fur spiking up despite her grooming mere minutes before.

━━Coalfur purred with delight at the queen’s response, picking up his meal and settling down next to her. He took a bite from it, watching the rest of the cats in camp before he turned his attention back to Creamflower. “Lovely morning isn’t it? How are you doing, Creamflower? Sleep well?” He asked, his tail swaying slowly as he took another bite of his bird. Every morning he’d try his best to catch up with someone or a few someones for that matter. He didn’t visit the queens often, so he was trying to get better at that and talk to them more often.

━━Dustypaw knew that soon enough, his mentor would be looking for him which would mean he’d be called away for training. Boring! He wasn’t ready to do any training, he wanted to find something fun to do first. His ears pricked as a familiar voice called his name, turning to see Briarpaw, one of the younger apprentices. “Hey Briarpaw!” He replied, his tail beginning to sway faster. Here was an apprentice he liked, someone he could get along with with ease. She didn’t mind going on adventures and such, so she was the perfect feline to bring along on his various journeys. “Nothing much. I’m trying to see if there’s anything interesting going on. Anything fun to do.” His pale gaze flickered from cat to cat. “Pull off a prank on one of the apprentices or warriors? Or maybe go for a bit of hunting? I’m not sure....” Dustypaw was technically old enough to leave camp by himself, so that wouldn’t be an issue if he so chose to. Still...there was plenty of things to choose from it was deciding that was hard.

━━Dustypaw's ears twitched at Briarpaw's words. Perfect. Sure Briarpaw might be a tad young to be going out into the forest without her mentor, but she would be going with him. He was going to be a warrior in a few moons so this would work out fine. There was no problem with getting out there early after all. "Oh that sounds great! Yes, we should totally do that! Let's go!" He said before adding in a quieter voice. "Before anyone has a chance to stop us." With a mischievous smile, he turned and bounded toward the camp entrance, almost positive that Briarpaw would be following in no time.

Foxtail overheard the apprentices as they didnt seem to have been talking quietly, he unfolded his wings and leapt forward, using his wings as leverage to leap off the ground. With that, he landed right in front of the camp entrance and stared down at Dustypaw. "And where do you think you two are going without a mentor to supervise?" His wings spread out as he sat up, providing a barrier that blocked the apprentice's path.

Creamflower takes another bite of her fish as she listens to Coalfur's questions, swallowing her bite before replying. "It is a great start of the day!" she said. "So far Im doing good! Sleeping well too! May I assume the same goes for you?"

Foxtail curled his tail around and over his paws as he seemed to focus his attention more on Dustypaw with a light glare and ears pinned back."I know my apprentice is strong enough to handle herself, but I'd rather she goes out with me or another warrior for her safety until she can get her flight practice down, it worries me." He turns his head to Briarpaw now. "I hope you realize that I'm looking out for you..... now, where did you want to go? To the forest you said?" His ears perked up a bit as he made a toothy grin.
