The day seemed to be perfect so she was blad to get out to collect some herbs they needed some more for storage. She was nowhere to being a hurry and she could not leave the den without telling her mentor first so she decided to wait a little bit and see what the day brings to her way.

She tiredly got out of the apprentice's den, not really wanting to wake up just yet, but she didn't want to angry her mentor either to being lazy, especially when she missed the dawn patrol yesterday because she slept too long. It was kind of her mentor fault as well because he never got to wake her up, instead, he just left with the patrol instead, maybe that was her punishment to sleeping too late. Well for now she could be early up and ready for any patrols, but now she could not see her mentor anywhere.

He was an early riser, not that he wanted to be, but he was found it better to hunt in the mornings when most other carnivores were still sleeping and the preys were still sleepy so they were more careless. He got down after seeing a bird near the rock, stalking it for a short while, before pouncing toward it, but missed it, because his painful back paw got to his way again. He was being walked so much yesterday that his paws were a little bit damaged especially his left back paw.

Whispersong slept soundly, exhausted. She wasn't sure how her kit had managed to be so entirely different from herself, but Shiverkit didn't like to sit still, and it had been hard to get the kit to settle down last night. He had finally drifted off to sleep alongside her, and she had been sleeping soundly ever since then, assuming that Shiverkit would sleep in as well.

Shiverkit had woken early with a twitch of his nose. The nursery was rather empty and that made it boring, especially when Whispersong was sleeping. And that was all his mother ever seemed to do recently. He stood slowly and carefully, as not to wake up the sleeping queen. It wasn't necessarily because he wanted to let her sleep, but more that he didn't want her to stop him. Now away from his mother, Shiverkit padded happily into the camp with a smile. He was getting close to the age he would become an apprentice, so he looked around. Maybe he could tag along on a training session.

The small white tom padded across camp on the hunt for an apprentice to go with, but quickly got distracted by the fresh-kill pile. Hungrily, he eyed it, and pulled out the biggest squirrel he could, pulling it away from the fresh kill pile with a smile on his face.

Mistheart had woken early with the sun, and had padded out of the den that she shared with Rookstar. There were a lot of times she was a little uncertain why Rookstar would have picked her as a deputy over a younger, more ambitious cat, but she was fine with the duty. It was a good way to look out for the clan, and she had found herself feeling fairly confident in the position. For now, she was looking around to see who was awake. She would send out a quick dawn patrol, and maybe one dedicated hunting party. Prey was fairly abundant right now in the leaf-fall, so it wasn't as much of a concern. Some mentors would probably take their apprentices out hunting anyway. She would have to make some time to train Wildpaw as well.


It would be easiest for today to just pick cats who were already awake for the dawn patrol. Mistheart padded towards Flowersong and Beetleleg, who had just emerged from the warriors den. "Good morning, Beetleleg, Flowersong." She mewed. "Would you two take your apprentices out for the dawn patrol? If there's anything odd, report back, but otherwise, feel free to head out to train afterwards." Mistheart was always a sort of straight-to-the-point sort of cat, not much use for dilly-dallying. Besides, the two warriors could chat on patrol.

Chicoryleap woke up with a bit of a shock, not having meant to sleep so long. It wasn't that late, but they had been hoping to have plenty of time to get ready for the day before they started on their training duties. They really hadn't been expecting to be assigned an apprentice so shortly after receiving their warrior name, but they tried their best with Dahliapaw. Chicoryleap left the warrior den and took a quick look, then another look after that, just to be certain, around camp to spot their apprentice. Dahliapaw wasn't anywhere, so that meant he must still be sleeping. Well, at least there was that. Padding towards the apprentice den, Chicoryleap went over to their sleeping apprentice and shook him gently. "Hey, Dahliapaw. Let's get moving?"

Rowanstar was still adjusting to no longer having Tornstar sleeping in the den with him but it was nice to have him sharing with long time friend Featherhaze and new deputy. It was only a few dawns since becoming leader, he was a bit unsure of himself still though it seemed that his deputy at least had his back which was a nice thing. With becoming leader, he also felt odd a bit with not being sure on how to go on with his day, it use to be with him making his patrols and being on them and he hadn't been on one since becoming leader. He also felt bad that his apprentice Sunnypaw had to been working with another warrior between grieving for Tornstar and having to go to the moonpool but today he was going to take him out for training by himself.
It was barely dawn as he was waking up, it was the first night he had been able to wake up without feeling exhausted. He began cleaning his fur happily until he finished before nudging at Featherhaze for the other to wake his deputy as he wanted to discuss the patrols for today. He even felt like he wanted to go and lead a patrol later with his energy returning between his grief and him catching up on his loss of sleep.

Dustripple didn't typically wake up right at dawn like some of the other warriors as he didn't have an apprentice so he didn't see the harm in sleeping in. Which is why he was fighting falling back asleep as he laid contently in his nest beside his sister Fallingfrost.

Stonepaw was a bit on the odd side, he was always ready for a battle whether from the clan they shared the forest with or one of the predators that also lived in the forest. He was basically always ready for danger, he had no reasoning on why he was always ready besides just the fact one minute you are living and the next you could easily be joining starclan so why not take some risks. He was somewhat secretive though about him being gay as he didn't want to share that with anyone yet, he also didn't see a reason on why to share that since it didn't concern anyone else. Finally, they saw the fluffy, gray she-cat. She was hopping over each of the borders, which would definitely make the clan cats mad. "What are you doing?" they gasped and approached closer through slow movements. Shelly didn't want to spook her.

Thrushpaw continues sleeping, but the movement from around him and outside the den begins to make him stir. Slowly he sits up, looking around with a dazed look. His fur sticks to his cheeks, the side he slept on. Thrushpaw sighs, a yawn following. He glanced outside, unsure of whether to step out or not. Perhaps Flowersong would retrieve him when ready. He wasn't feeling amazing today; he felt like laying down and doing absolutely nothing.
It was odd behavior for him since, normally, Thrushpaw was blasting with enthusiasm about training. The cloudy skies added a bit of gloom to his already down attitude. If he could just act a bit happier for Flowersong, he'd get through alright.

Silentsong woke up, feeling bad for sleeping in. But no worries! She didn't have much to do today. Herbs were stalked at a moderate amount, and at the moment Locustpaw was doing well. Speaking of which... Silentsong looked around, but no sign of the apprentice anywhere. He must've gone out. Deciding to leave him be, she turned her attention to her herbs, which she began to rummage through. She would leave to get a bite to eat shortly.

Chicoryleap nodded to Dahliapaw. "Yeah, for training. Early cat gets the... vole or something." They shook their head at their failed attempt for humor. "Nevermind that." They licked their chest fur in embarrassment. "I figured we could get a head start for training. I want to practice climbing trees, maybe catch something while we're at it." Chicoryleap shrugged. It was harder for them to think of good training activities recently, since Dahliapaw had been training for a while, and he knew most the basics, but they thought this might be a good one.

Patrols weren't always the most exciting thing for apprentices, or for him come to think of it. Walking along an invisible line of scent never had enthused him, so he did tend to wander off during patrols, much to the annoyance of his patrolmates. It sort of surprised him he was being asked to patrol in the first place given this record. But ey, he wasn't complaining!
A quick little argument in his head led him to decide he'd leave Bravepaw be. So, he squabbled over to the camp's entrance and waited for Flowersong to be ready, his busy mind wandering. Maybe he could sneak away and look for a few bugs... Maybe he could go meet that nice tom again! What was his name? Doveflight? Yeah, Doveflight. Crowclan cat, he assumed. Being buds with a cat from another clan wasn't forbidden, right? No, it couldn't be...
