"I smelt Xander on the wind" Skyra reported, her tail feathers blowing gently in the wind, "Heading in this direction. A Small patrol i'd guess. prey-stealing. She looked down at the creature by her paws. She wasn't sure what it was - some sort of hybred between Scatcut and Kohatu. It could have come in when the Terran ship crashed in the centre desert. The genes from the databanks mingled in. No wonder Calikari were developing mutations and new sub-species. The work of Terrans. Skyra wondered if they were the reasons for her feathers; but looking back at the dried ferns, Skyra could help wondering if that was why the Nightmare Calikari ruled the nights - not all of them were bad, but when they were...she felt the cool chill on her exposed fur.

Chyriska gave a hiss.
"You know we're supposed to be learning basic hunting, all the Clan-defenders"

Odacicu rolled his eyes.
"Hunting" He replied to Tippex, ignoring Chyriska with a flick of his tail, "Now, where is the best place to hunt? In the Cacti field? By the Terran Camp?"

[Terrans are Humans. Scatcut are usually cream coloured animals with floppy-dog-like ears. They live in warrens and are quite quick. Kohatu are small, brown, rabbit like animals with feathered tails.]

Calico looked slightly bashed. She had been hoping for a more interesting response.
"Fine, fine." she sighed, and padded back into the den. Although Calico had learned the ways of the Calikari, she still moved around like a rabbit - by lolloping up and down, her little tail bobbing behind hr merrily. She pushed aside the leaves with one tiny paw.
"Skyra's here to see you, Chairo." she smiled in a friendly manner. There was a short, sharp response from within and Calico peeked out from etween the ferns.
"You can come in," she nodded like it was her den, and she was the one granting permission. She felt very important, to be able to boss Calikari about.

"Cacti field," Tippex replied promptly. There was always a danger there would be spotted by a terran, and he knew that many small creatures made their homes amongst the cacti. They just had to be careful not to get scratched by the spikes.

Skyra dipped her head as she entered.
"I think Xander are preparing for another border skirmish sir"
Skyra herself had never been a fighter, or a hunter. In a matter, she had been a Clan-Defender before Second, but Skyra was more behind Intelligence and Tactics rather than using them. Right now, her mind was spinning.

Chyriska padded away, muttering to herself.

"Right" Odacicu nodded, "Would you like to lead the way?" He gave a small smile, sticking out a forepaw in a gesture. He was rather proud of the Learner, and he showed it.

Chairo was sitting in a corner of the den, using a twig to scratch plans into the dense, sandy soil.
"Greetings, Skyra." he said, not looking up."Thankyou for informing me."
Calico ran to his long tail and leapt on it joyfully. Chairo, still concentrating on his plans, absent-mindedly flicked his tail for the young rabbit to play with. Calico batted at it like a kitten bats a butterfly, forgetting that she was meant to be mature. Chairo seemed to treat her like his daughter.
"Care to help me with defence plans?" he suggested, looking up for the first time and fixing Skyra in his startlingly bright red gaze.

"Of course, sir," Tippex responded, keen to please his teacher. He began to pad off in the direction of the cacti fields.

"Certainly sir" Skyra hesitated, "Do you have any baseline ideas I could work with?" She twitched her tail, watching Calico play with the Nightmare Calikari's tail. Skyra was glad to have such a leader. The good hearted Nightmares usually made great leaders. or the tale was.

Odacicu padded after the learner, keeping his gaze firm and aware. It wasn't of their nature, but there was certainly the chance a Fenriri would be Prey-stealing.

[Mura]

Chairo tapped the plans he had drawn on the ground with the stick gently.
"This," he nodded downward. "Just some basic plans I formulated. I was anticipating something like this may happen."
On the ground, there were circles to represent Calikari and lines to represent trees.
"If we sent in any winged, cloud and nightmare clan-defending calikari via the air, we can take the element of surprise. However, I am still considering ho we could include a second wave of attacks - there are not enough flight-capable calikari to hold off an attack alone."

"They have a new Clan-Defender" Skyra dipped her head, "A nasty peice of work. I spotted her on the border a few days back. She was in the loner lands; she'd literally torn one of the loners to shreds. She's got a pair of wings, sir" Skyra paused, "I could go in, I guess, and I'm sure some of the flightless Calikari are willing to give it a shot too. Xander do have winged Calikari too"

[Mura]

"I will also go. And Collier..." he paused briefly, as if thinking of something, then shrugged it off. "However, you, Skyra, must be careful. I am well aware you are not confident in your physical strength, so make sure to be on your guard at all times and only attack if necessary - if Collier and I need backup."
He drew an arc above the circles in the dirt before continuing. "We three will enter by flying as high as possible, then diving down and attacking their flying Eceltra first, if there are any. That will still let us take the element of surprise. As we do so, any Calikari attacking on land will enter while tey are distracted. Have you got any other suggestions?"

"You mean, you two. I'm flightless" Skyra pointed out quietly, "Unless I was carried"

Odacicu stopped, looking ahead at the Cacti field.
"Alright. Show me what you got" He signalled to Tippex.
