Mouseberry approached the fresh-kill pile. Her belly rumbling louder with each step. A plump mouse caught her attention. She leaned forward, wrapping her jaws around the prey. It didn't take long for her mouth to begin to water. Quickly, she carried the mouse back to her den, ducking inside so that she could enjoy her prey in peace.

Russetcloud raised his head, only to see his apprentice emerging from her den. He watched with wide eyes as she scurried towards him. Somehow, the apprentice always brought out the best in himself. Her positive energy seemed to transmit to the tom. "Good morning, Lilacpaw." A small grin formed on his muzzle. "Are you ready to start today's training session?"

Fallowpaw got up drowsily in the apprentice den, noticing that she's the last one up. She gave herself a couple quick licks, and padded out of the den to the fresh-kill pile. The light brown she-cat gingerly picked up a mouse, starting to tear at it eagerly. When finished, she crept away waiting for her mentor, Ferntail, to wake so they can possibly start training. I wonder what the day will bring?... she thought curiously.

Greyflower was just waking up, her smooth grey pelt shook as she got herself to her paws. She felt a cool breeze come into the den, and opened her eyes wide. She needed to do something, she couldn't sit here and be useless. And she sure didn't want anyone thinking see was a good-for-nothing. Greyflower worried more then necessary. Padding out into the clearing, she saw other cats beginning their day. Her brother was already up and under a tree.

Ashpaw sat near the edge of camp, beside a tree for cover. He liked the cool feeling, when most like being sunned. He stretched for a moment, pondering on whether to wait for his mentor or see if a patrol will be sent out soon. His bale blue-grey eyes blinked.

Ash star crept around her den in a circle, still
embarrassed that she would have to get
more sleep. At least it worked, she thought
as she climbed on top of the hollow tree
stump that served as her den and also the
clan meeting place. She gave one more
huge yawn before curling her tail around
her paws and looking out at her clan waking
up all around her. Ashstar saw the cats who
were already awake and then settled down
to watch the dawn patrol leave.
