brokenlight stood outside the warriors den, cleaning her fur when scorchfire came out of the den. his fur was messy,and she was a bit glad he didn't see her. he seemed grumpy and she didn't want to put up with younger cat bickering all day. she walked around a bit and she felt crushed when she saw the queens den. she always wanted to have kits, even when she was a kitten. but now she had a crippled leg. why did she try to impress every other apprentice? if she didn't, she might be a queen right now. brightsun said she could still have kits, but how could she have kits when most cats can't see past her crippled leg? she sat down silently and wondered if her crush, adderstar would ever see her more than a clanmate? she had thoughts like this sometimes, and she felt like a dopey apprentice falling for another apprentice.
