The gray tom woke up with a yawn. He stretched but found it hard to leave his nest. Finally he rose from the soft bracken and moss and walked out of the warrior's den. He saw Swiftclaw and padded over.

The apprentice let out a small sigh in her sleep, she was chasing a hare, and she was gaining. Bramblepaw was about to leap when the imaginary rabbit disappeared. With another light sigh, this one more audile, Bramblepaw sat up in her nest and began cleaning her ears.

Breestar lifted her head once she heard her deputy. "Oh, wonderful! You were thinking exactly what I was thinking." The leader gave a cheerful chuckle and nodded. "All the cats are asleep, but I feel as if they should awake soon." Breestar's tail flicked around in the morning air as she spoke.

The elder slowly awoke from her deep sleep, and walked out of the elders den. "Border patrols, eh?" Fernshadow said in a raspy voice. The tabby walked towards Rosefur and smiled. "You know, I'm always up for a good patrol. As long as you don't make me do all the work." Fernshadow laughed, and sat down. Waiting for further instruction from her leader, or Rosefur.

TuxedoPaw quickly awoke from his dream, and leaped towards Swiftclaw, and Twigleaf. The apprentice so badly wanted to yelp out to his mentor, and Twigleaf "Ooh! You cats are looking like lovebirds over there!" But, the tom definitely did not say that. He just murmured a quick "Hello!" Not wanting to disturb the 2 cats.

SwiftClaw narrowed her eyes at TuxedoPaw "Hello." she mewed "How are you?" she mewed, her blue eyes cold and emotionless as they so often were. She moved her eyes to TwigLeaf for a moment and glared at him before the cold stare moved back to TuxedoPaw.

The elder sighed, as she looked at Rosefur. "I guess you're right, but dear, don't forget I have only
been an elder for a few moons. I'm up for any challenge." Fernshadow laughed as she walked towards the warriors den. "Wake up, sleepy heads!" Fernshadow said in a funny, but raspy voice. She smiled as she walked out. The
memories of being a warrior quickly covered her like a blanket.

Tuxedopaw backed up, oddly. He had never yet done that to his mentor. But today she seemed more annoyed than other days. The cold stare she gave him made the apprentice feel scared. As he worried about useless things, he responded to SwiftClaw. "O-oh! You know. I'm doing just fine." Tuxedopaw chuckled a small chuckle and walked towards the apprentices den, again. "I'm ready to hunt when you are!" He said.

Robinpaw elegantly stretched in her soft moss den, before letting out a soft yawn. Dawn light was slowly beginning to creep through the brambles and fern of the medicine cat den. She then vigorously shook her head to bring her back to Bearclan. I'm not a kit anymore! No time for daydreaming! There are things to do. The tabby thought. Besides, I'll want to impress Softstorm! Robinpaw strictly pulled herself up and started counting herbs.
