Barrenfur is distant and won't speak unless spoken to, she takes a more realistic/pessimistic take towards the world rather than bring her hopes up. Although she is considered rather dark or blunt, she's actually very laid-back and neighbourly once she's gotten used to your company.

Adderpaw is very bashful and timid, he usually isn't seen without his "big sister" Barrenfur by his side. Adderpaw also can't help but to stutter and mumble when in the presence of another cat, getting very tongue-twisted or scatter-brained. Also, he is the exact opposite of Barrenfur when it comes to the look of the outside world, thinking positive thoughts and being overall optimistic.

She sat on the middle branch of the Snow Tree, gazing around at the barely busy camp. The sun was just rising, sending warmth across the snowy clearing. Cats were beginning to stir, and she hopped down and began to pad to the Fresh Kill Tree. She grabbed an arctic hare in her jaws, and padded back to the Fresh Kill tree and sat down again, resting in its branches and began to eat.

He lay half asleep in his warm, leafy nest. He twitched in his sleep, dreams scattering in his brain. His whiskers twitched suddenly as he was dragged out of the sleep realm by the sunlight, now in his face. He blinked sleepily, shaking the sleep from his eyes. He walked wearily out of the deputy den and towards the Fresh Kill Tree. He grabbed a vole and went to sit with OakStar. Morning.. he mumbled sleepily, as he saw her give a nod of acknowledgement.
