Cinderstar turned around at the sound of these words. "Oh, good morning Swanflight. Yes, I did sleep well. Did you?" she replied. It was true that she slept well, but she thought that the morning sun blazing into the Highrock was a bit of an annoyance.

Darksun -- Bored/watching the clan

Darksun woke slowly, blinking the sleep from his eyes. As he scanned the den, he yawned and stretched before standing. He noticed that very few cats were awake, so he decided that it must be early. He mentally cursed his tendency to wake up early as he picked his way carefully through the sleeping warriors. When he stepped out in the morning sun, he watched the cats milling around the camp before he finally settled down in an open area, far enough from other cats that he couldn't hear what they were saying to each other, but close enough to hear their voices.

Goldenfur -- Tired/sitting

Goldenfur sighed as he heard Darksun leave the den. Darksun always woke up earlier than him, but he was a light sleeper, so almost any small sound could wake him. He stayed where he was for a while, trying to fall back asleep, but wasn't able to. Yawning, and not fully awake, he left the den and sat in a sunny patch in the camp. He wouldn't approach Darksun. He knew his brother would approach him if he wanted to talk.

Brightblaze -- Excited/thinking about going hunting

Brightblaze was already awake, as usual. She always woke early, because she hated wasting daylight. She had left the den as quietly as she could, trying to avoid waking anyone, before settling down near the entrance to watch the clan come to life in the early morning light.

Icepaw -- Irritated/trying to sleep

Icepaw sighed as the sun managed to shine directly on her face. She grunted and rolled over. She wasn't about to get up until her mentor stuck her head into the den to rouse her.

Ashenthroat opened her eyes. Darkness still filled the warriors den. She stretched, deciding that she might as well get up. She got up and exited the warriors den. Ashenthroat nodded to Emberpaw, who was waiting outside the den. She drowsily walked a little ways away from the warriors den, and saw Brightblaze along with a Darksun and Goldenfur leaving the den.

"Hello, Brightblaze!"she said to her fellow warrior, padding over to where Brightblaze was settled.

She purred in response "I did, thanks! I was wondering if you had anyone in mind for who would be going on which patrols?" Swanflight asked, flicking her tail from side to side. "I wanted to volunteer for the border patrol."

The young tom yawned. He had been one of the first to jump out of his nest and out of the apprentice's den and was already ready and revving to get going. Pacing around in an excited circle, he was wondering what was taking everyone so long to wake up. There were things to get done, prey to be caught, and borders to be patrolled and he was anxious to get started with everyone. "I wonder what's taking the others?" He murmured curiously to himself.

the molly stretched silently in her sleep, only to kick ____ (whoever) in the head. she shot her head up and drew her foot back and made a confused look. her eyes flicked around, soon adjusting to the low lighting of the den. the black and white molly let out a relaxed sigh as she let her head hunch over her body. she looked at herself and gave a few good licks to her ragged pelt. she stretched her way out of the den and her eyes went to slits. the lighting, much different. she snorted as she looked around, hoping for some cats to be ready for a patrol. her fur flattening as she lifted her head to the voices of swanflight and cinderstar. a small smile broke onto her face as she waited quietly to join into the conversation.

the tom had been awake for a while, his nightmare nagging in the back of his head. his eyes defied the darkness which led to his eyes being slits. his sharp silvery claws kneaded at the bedding beneath his ginger paws. the tom turned his head towards the exit of the den, hunger gripping his stomach. he decided he would go and eat something small. his paws soon carried him out of the den, leading him to the fresh kill pile. his nose twitched at the smell of a mouse, one that may go bad in a couple days. he picked it up and flopped down in some shade, not wanting attention.

fawnmist yawned, padding out of the warrior's den groggily. she stretched out her long legs, her amber eyes shimmering in the soft morning light. over to her left, she saw darksun, and quickly padded over to him. "good morning, darksun, how are you?" she asked, smiling at the tom sweetly.

eveningpaw sat awake, she had been for hours. it was rare for the medicine cat apprentice to actually sleep, so it was awkward for her when she did because she wasn't used to it. her yellow eyes were dark from being awake, she had sorted every herb in the medicine den and had gathered moss, cobwebs, and catmint. she was exhausted, but she couldn't make herself go to sleep.

She looked back at Brightblaze. "I think i'm going to volunteer for patrol. Do you want to come?" the gray tabby questioned.
