the apprentices are apprenticed at five moons, and for a moon, they travel the caves and learn the tunnels and such. when they're six moons old they officially begin their training. the warriors have to pass some sort of initiation for them to become warriors (kind of like the cats that used to live in the tunnels in the original books). all earthclan cats are immune to the virus, seeing as the infected prey is all they eat (occasionally, however, a cat will die from the virus. this is a rare case though). most earthclan cats have earth-colored pelts (browns, blacks, the rare grey/silver/blue russian. calicos do not exist down there). the earthclan cats have some similarities to the tribe, seeing as their leaders know herbal usages. the cats do not have 'kit' or 'paw' at the end of their name. instead, they have only the prefix of a warrior name. so a cat might be called "mud" or "leaf" until they pass their iniation, where they get their name ("mudsmear" or "leafgorge").
