It was late evening as Miiere made her way through the viridian dappled undergrowth of the Shattrathk forest. The white, swirling marking on her hip seemed to glow in the dim lighting, but she made no effort to conceal the bright coloration as she walked casually along, a plump, vole-like creature clamped firmly in her lithe jaws. At a flash of movement ahead of her, Miiere realized she'd made it back to her clans bivouac, and picked up her pace to a steady jog until she was inside the clearing, where she turned to observe the going-ons. The other members of her group appeared to be simply mulling around, going about their own activities and tasks as usual, but the familiar sight comforted Miiere and she settled down under a tree to pick at the rodent she'd caught and brought back with her.

Mocha, being done with his tasks for the day, plopped down where he was standing. He hated when he finished his tasks, for that meant he would be bored the rest of the day. Growling softly, Mocha threw his head up and searched for something to do, or at least, something to attract the attention of others.

Miiere was about to tear into the vole in earnest when the sound of Mocha plopping down nearby caught her attention. Perking up her bat-like ears, she got to her feet and ambled over to him, taking her vole-creature with her. Settling down beside him, albeit with a roomy personal bubble, she greeted him. "Mocha, are you done for the day? I caught a vole earlier, would you like some?". Her voice was sweet and childish. She couldn't resist the opportunity to improve someones move or brighten their day, if only a little.

Mocha gently shook his head. "No thanks Miiere, its just so boring after finishing a task. There seems to be nothing to do." With that he over dramatically sighed and rolled onto his back. He had a large pout, that was bigger than necessary. Mocha didn't mind that people thought he was childish, and honestly, he is one at heart.

Miiere flattened her ears slightly in absurd embarrassment at Mocha's rejection of her offer, and pulled the vole back closer to herself with a two toed paw. She watched him roll over onto his back. "There's always more to do. I'm sure if you're /that/ bored you could go and ask Xani for help" She said sarcastically, poking fun at Xani's serious nature and intense work ethic. "Then you'd have something to do". Miiere then picked up the vole in her jaws, swallowing it in a single bite since she no longer felt complied to offer to share with anyone. "I'd say you could go out in the forest, but I've heard whispers of odd shadows and noises lately." she said, her voice suddenly hushed, although wonder and excitement evident in her tone.

Armin slowly trotted along the worn path between the dwelling him and his mate and daughter shared to the main area of the group's territory, he could hear Arcana trailing behind him at a slower pace. He knew she wasn't one for socializing but she certainly was one to keep at something, Sparks had gone off earlier in the day to explore a little, he was very reluctant about letting her go out alone, especially with the odd occurrences in the forest. He looked over his should and saw the brown,white and green Irith following, her head hung a little as she walked slowly behind her mate, Armin slowed up and nuzzled he back of her neck," It'll all be alright, I'm sure Sparks and Mitch are alright," he said in a reassuring tone. Arcana looked up at her mate and feigned a smile, " I'm sure they both will be," she said quietly.

Sparks laughed a little and ran about the trees,being older now she could go farther from the place she dwelled with her family, she weaved through the trees before she heard Mocha and Miiere talking. She slowed up and slowly padded near to them, her ears lowering a little as she listened, just catching the tail end of their conversation, she tilted her head, her large ears moving slightly to the side her head was tilted as she tried to piece together what Meiire meant by shadows and noises.

Mocha snorted. "I'd rather take chances with these so called 'shadows' than get my heaf bitten off by Xani." He rolled over and jumped to his feet. "Besides, I won't belive in them until I see one with my own eyes." After lashing his tail, Mocha quickly padded off. His new goal was to see one of these mysterious shadows.
