Names are extremely important to the Clan cats; because a name is supposed to describe him or her, a cat's name states who he or she is.

There are two parts to each Clan cat's name: Prefix and Suffix. The prefix is the first part of the name, and the suffix is the second part.

About Prefixes:
A prefix typically describes a physical attribute. It is given to a cat by its parent/s at birth, and remains with the cat for the duration of his/her life (except in a few circumstances, which will be explained later). The prefix is ALWAYS capitalized. Some examples of prefixes are: Rock-, Gray-, Fern-, and Dappled-. More examples will be listed later on.

About Suffixes:
There are four types of suffixes: Kit, Apprentice, Warrior, and Leader.

Kit Suffix: The kit suffix is ALWAYS "-kit." No exceptions. A cat must be younger than six moons in age to have the suffix "-kit."

Apprentice Suffix: The apprentice suffix is ALWAYS "-paw." No exceptions. A cat must be older than six moons in age to have the suffix "-paw."

Warrior Suffix: A warrior suffix usually elaborates upon the prefix. It is given to a cat by the Clan leader when he/she becomes a warrior, and completes the cat's name. The suffix is NEVER capitalized. Some examples of suffixes are: -claw, -stripe, -whisker, and -pelt. More examples will be listed later on. A full name is one compound 'word' - so, when the above suffixes are paired with the previously listed sample prefixes, you get the names "Rockclaw," "Graystripe," "Fernwhisker," and "Dappledpelt."

Personality: Fawnstar is thought to be a bit insane for killing her second leader and deputy. But, as a leader, Fawnstar was loved by all the cats of the clan. Feared by the rogues, Fawnstar was strong and could take care of business well. But when Fawnstar lost her clan, she was dumbstruck. She had no idea what to do until she decided to bring her clan back to power.
History: Fawnstar was born into DuskClan. As a young kit, Redkit, as she was known back then, was very shy. She didn't talk much and stuck to her mother's side. Redkit always listened to the rules until one day, a simple patrolling went too far. A warrior from MoonClan killed her mother. When Redkit became an apprentice, she was reckless. She never listened to her mentor and always strayed too far. One day, Redpaw was caught intruding in MoonClan territory. She fought with her leader which caused her to get kicked out. The maniacal Redpaw wandered around the clans. She sat outside of MoonClan and looked hungry. One of the queens mistook her for a kit and brought her into the clan. The queen nursed Redkit back to health. The leader of MoonClan renamed her Fawnkit and began training her as an apprentice. When she became a warrior, Fawnpaw became Fawncheek. Fawncheek had a plan of revenge. In the middle of the night, she killed both the leader and deputy. Being one of the strongest cats at the time, Fawncheek took charge and became leader. Fawnstar, as she's officially known now, brought MoonClan back to power. Their old leader had been a fool and let raids in easily. She was rewarded as a leader and everyone loved Fawnstar. But the winter was hard on the clan. It killed many of the cats and weakened the warriors. DuskClan was smart and attacked the clan when it was weak, leaving Fawnstar to fend for her own. She soon decided to fix her clan. Fawnstar has begun taking in loners and kittypets to bring her clan back to power.

Name: Hawkstar.

Personality: Hawkstar is a brave tom. He fights fast but is not the strongest. He is one of the swiftest toms, though so it's hard to catch him. When it comes to meeting rogue cats, Hawkstar will immediately start battling. Being small makes it easier for him to slink under cat's legs and confuse them. He is very kind to his clan, and will listen to any problems needed.
History: Hawkstar was born a loner. His mother was a kind cat that was a friend to the clans. Hawkstar's father, though was a rogue who had bred with his mother. He left her and was never seen again. Hawkstar is unaware of his past though. His mother quickly gave him to the clan nearest to her, DuskClan. His mother took the rest of her kits and went to live with the twolegs, afraid of being found again by Hawkstar's father. The leader of DuskClan was a curious tom named Boulderstar. He took the kit in and named him Hawkkit. Boulderstar let Hawkkit nurse from one of the queens until he was strong enough to become an apprentice. Boulderstar trained Hawkkit himself. Hawkpaw was a wonderful apprentice, learning fast and hunting quickly because of his size and speed. Boulderstar was impressed and Hawkpaw became a warrior quickly. He was renamed Hawktalon and one of the lead warriors. When Honeypelt, Boulderstar's Deputy died of greencough, Hawktalon became Boulderstar's Deputy. As Deputy, Hawktalon became very popular with the clan. They believed in everything he did and said and was grateful for his work. When Boulderstar had first gotten Hawkkit, he was already on his second life. When Hawktalon was Deputy, he witnessed Boulderstar lose his second life. Boulderstar decided to step down and give Hawktalon the position of leader. The clan was rejoiced to have Hawktalon as leader and so half of the clan came as he went to get his nine lives. When they came back, the clan was destroyed and all the kits were killed. Hawkstar, to this day, regrets leaving half the clan alone and has never forgiven himself for it. Hawkstar is now busy rebuilding the clan.

Apprentice: Currently none.
Personality: Hailsong isn't really a cheery medicine cat. She's strict and sharp, although sometimes her familiar self from apprenticeship will return. However, once she takes a liking to you, she'll be shy. The only reason she's so strict is because she doesn't want other cats to be like her- abandoned as a kit and hated her whole life. She is very strategic, and knows what's right for the Clan. Hailsong won't hesitate to speak her opinion.
History: Hailsong has had a rough life. Her mother wanted all toms; she didn't want to have any other kin to get rid of. To say the least, her parents were mass murders, criminals in the Clans. Always on the move, they killed their kin in Clans then left. Downright hateful, they threw Hailsong into a river when they found out there was a she-cat in their litter of five. Hailsong managed to survive, traveling to a nearby Clan and learning the ways of a medicine cat. She had shared how her parents had let her go; the Clan declared her as cursed and threw her out, still as Hailpaw. She traveled to DuskClan, where she made herself medicine cat under the leader's permission.

Sociable and optimistic, Dovestar is a leader that can be loved by many cats. She enjoys socializing with her clan cats, especially whenever she's concerned about her clan members' safety. Her words of wisdom are optimistic, and her voice will always be enthusiastic, even in bad times. Dovestar believes that a positive outlook on life will always help in every situation, no matter how severe or life-threatening the situation is.
After being a queen and having a few litters of kits of her own, Dovestar has grown to be highly patient and motherly towards every cat that she meets. It doesn't matter if the cat is a loner, a cat from another clan, or a cat having poor intentions; she will always be welcoming to any cat that she meets. If anything happens, especially if it is in a situation that will take a long time to deal with, Dovestar will always have patience to deal with the situation. She has an open, clear mind that helps her deal with multiple situations.
The main reason that cats often don't think that Dovestar is suited for being a leader is because of her passive temperament. Very rarely Dovestar will step up and scold a cat for their misbehavior; she will only scold a clan mate unless forced to. Her guilty conscious is strong, and she always fears that she may have made the wrong decision about everything.
History:
Kithood
Dovestar was born to a young she-cat in Skyclan without the knowledge of her father or any other kin. She was the smallest of the litter of five, the only completely white cat of the litter, and the only she-cat of the litter, too. For most of the six months of kithood, her life was pretty much normal with only a few other kits that teased her for her appearance and size. During the day of her apprenticeship, Dovestar's mother suddenly disappeared without a trace.
Apprenticeship
Dovestar was matched up with the stern, intimidating, and serious tom named Scarface, which she had always feared during her kithood. She never stood up nor complained about Scarface, directly and indirectly, because she feared him so much. Other apprentices made fun of her for her passive nature while some warriors suggested that she should have become a medicine cat apprentice; Dovestar never gave up on her hopes of being an excellent warrior.
There were multiple moments when Dovestar found herself infatuated with other apprentices, but she never changed her thoughts on one tom named Thornpaw. She loved Thornpaw, but Thornpaw was involved with another she-cat that Dovestar absolutely loathed at the time. Everytime she got, Dovestar would try to woo Thornpaw, but he never was interested in her. When Thornpaw decided that this she-cat would be his mate when he become a warrior, Dovestar was absolutely heartbroken and ran off for some time during this depression.
During this time of abandonment, Dovestar was forced to be mate with a cat of the rival clan. She became impregnated with the kits at the age of twelve moons, which delayed her from being a warrior. When her kits were born, two were stillborn with only one tom staying alive. (The tom was originally named Sealkit, but he was later renamed Ajax when he become a loner.) One of the queens, a white she-cat named Snowfoot, took the kit in and allowed Dovestar to visit the kit.
Dovestar continued with her training, relying heavily on Scarface's guidance and, rarely shown, kind side to help her make it through the rough patch of her life. During this time, Scarface became one of the few cats that Dovestar could rely on, because he understood her situation perfectly. All the other cats would often label her as being a bad cat, a poor caretaker, and other horrendous name that she wishes not to remember.

Darkwing is often considered the exact opposite of the typical, role-model senior warrior due to her anti-social behavior. Multiple cats have hypothesized that her personality is only from being painfully shy or socially inadequate, but the problem is a far cry from the ideas. This she-cat just hates most cats and being forced to socialize in general. When forced to socialize with others, Darkwing will often act aloof, indifferent, and cruel at times to the cats that she has to deal with. Other times, especially when around cats of higher authority, she will just keep her mouth shut and say nothing unless the conversation pertains specifically to her.
Darkwing is known to be severely paranoid about the cats that she surrounds herself with-probably due to her life of hopping around clans. She rarely brings herself up to trust a cat completely, especially if the said cat is close with other cats outside the clan. Although well-known for her tactical and intellectual mind, this she-cat is known to keep her mouth shut about her thoughts in worry that she would immediately be shot down for her insane ideas.
To most cats, Darkwing is just another corrupted warrior that will become an antagonist at some point. It is true that she doesn't put her complete loyalty into the clan she stays with, knowing that there are many other clans in the world to pick from. Other times, she is seen only as a corrupted warrior that is in the clan to steal information for others. She doesn't bother with defending herself, knowing that she would be unable to persuade the cats into believing otherwise.

Blindbat is one of the more preferable elders, as multiple kits and apprentices have described him during the time he was an elder. He rarely bothers anyone while they work, preferring to keep out of the hard-working apprentices' way whenever they're cleaning out the elder's den. Although he prefers to have another cat strike up a conversation, there are random times whenever Blindbat wishes to start a conversation up with a cat-as long as they aren't busy at the time, of course. Whenever Blindbat has a problem, he will try to be stubborn and fix it himself, although his blindness rarely allows for this to happen.
Kits and apprentices love hearing the stories that Blindbat tells in his spare time, although they rarely realize that most of the stories are based off of his life. Blindbat always gives a smile to kits that ask him for a story if their mother is busy and quickly obliges to tell them a quick story. Warriors are known to come to him for his wise advice, although he usually just makes up random tidbits of advice that he was told during his life of a warrior. Heart-broken or lonely cats often come to him for his kind, fatherly-like personality.
A severe flaw about Blindbat is that he remembers his past far too often, making it hard for him to cheer up at times. During these times, he often sits around in the elder's den near the corner, not paying any attention to the world around him. He sometimes becomes snappy towards any cat that decides to get in his way.

• Blindbat is also Dovestar's grandfather.
