Flower flattened her ears against her head, watching the fire burn through her home. "We need to leave now." A tom mewed urgently next to her. The she-cat blinked, seeming to notice that her tribe-mates were still with her for the first time. "We already lost Pineteller, we can't lose you too." The tom mewed again. Flower nodded slowly before turning, flicking her tail, beckoning her tribe-mates to follow her before leading them away from the burning pine trees that use to be there home.

I can't let them down... I must find them a new home...

Sunteller padded to the entrance of the cave that her tribe slept in. The dark brown, ginger and white tabby she-cat sat back on her haunches, curling her tail over her paws as she watched the clouds creep lazily cross the sky. Her ears flicked slightly when she heard the soft murmuring of the only kit-mother, Horizon.

The healer looked over her shoulder to her clanmates, making sure the kit and to-be's that were still inside the cave were alright before facing forward. She peered with dark green eyes across the land beyond the mountains her tribe made their home in, hoping to catch a glimpse of the home she'd been raised in.

Even though she learned by now that she could see the old tribe territory from there, she still looked and was still disappointed every time she couldn't catch a glimpse of the towering pine trees. Sunteller constantly had to remind herself that those pine trees weren't even there anymore.

Sunteller was snapped out of her daydream when she noticed movement on the rock ledges below. She peered down, relaxing slightly when she recognized Hiss, the lead Guard, returning with a hunting patrol, Bee among them. "How was hunting?" She mewed once they reached her.

"Bee managed to catch a hare." Hiss mewed, licking a scratch he'd gotten on his leg. Sunteller nodded, turning to watch as they retreated back into the cave with their catches, Bee prancing at the back of the group.

The dark brown, ginger and white she-cat cast one last look up at the sun and the land outside of the cave with longing, before heaving a sigh and retreating into the cave as well.

MIST THAT COVERS THE FOREST

Mist looked around the cave that her and her tribe called home. She stretched out each of her paws and yawned, squeezing her eyes shut. Mist shook out her fluffy silver and black pelt looking for Frog."Hey Frog! Are you in here? I was wondering when we could go out so I can learn more hunting moves and that sorta thing." The young to-be flicked her ear and sat down in the middle of the cave, waiting for the cat that trained her to arrive.

Moss was sitting near her nest when the hunters and Hiss returned. Her green eyes center on her sister, and a purr rises in her throat. "Great catch, Bee!" She smiles, hoping that her sister was in a good mood. "You're a great prey-hunter." Bee is a better cat than I am. She hasn't ever failed as terribly as I did.

Frog stretches, the early morning sun casting light shadows around the cave. Her striped tail flicks in contentment as the frail beams land on her. The shecat turns to her apprentice at her mew. She smiled faintly at Mist's eagerness. "Sure, we'll go out later, since Hiss's patrol just came back."

Mouse's pale blue eyes blinked open, a small yawn stretching her jaws wide. She looks around with curious eyes, her tail twitching as she scented the camp. Looks like a hunting patrol just came back- and there's Sunteller! She rolls onto her back, still looking around. It all looks so different all of a sudden! "Horizon? Why does the cave look different when I turn onto my back?" The inquisitive kit wanted to know everything about her world, and not just everything- but why it was that way.

The two brothers were sitting near a wall, their voices low as they spoke to each other. Every so often there would be a small reaction from one, a twitch of a tail or a flick of an ear, but otherwise there was no indication of what this conversation was about. This wasn't uncommon, the two were often together then neither was out of the cave, after all, though it may have seemed a bit suspicious. Believe it or not they weren't plotting anything, they were just speaking of general things. The cats within the tribe, how hunting had been going, things like that.

groggily, the large tom sits up, twitching his ears and glancing around as his eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness within the cave, light streaming in through the opening. huffing softly, he stands up, stretching as he slowly pads towards the entrance, a long yawn stopping him in his tracks for a moment. as usual, the tawny tom had a rather hard time falling asleep, though depending on how much energy bee had, he would take a nap in the sun later. sitting down in a patch of sunlight at the mouth of the cave, he goes about cleaning his pelt, glancing around once to make sure his sister wasn't up and about just yet

"good morning sage, thyme. how are you two doing today?" she asks, her voice soft and kind as she sits next to the two, curling her black striped tail around her paws
