Welcome to Our World
A Pokémon RP

This story takes place in a world not unlike the world of Mystery Dungeon. A world inhabited by talking Pokémon, where humans are mere stories...

Rules

All CS rules apply.
Don't join and never post again.
You can have as many characters as you can handle.
Your characters cannot be any of the following: A legendary, Phione (it's not 100% confirmed if it's a legendary or not), or a fully-evolved Pokémon that is part of a three-stage evolutionary line. You can, however, have a character that is the first or second stage of a three-part line, who can eventually evolve into the third stage. For example, you can start out with a Pichu or Pikachu character, but not a Raichu, but your Pichu or Pikachu could evolve into Raichu later.
Shiny Pokémon are allowed, but keep in mind that they're supposed to be rare.
You don't have to keep genders even! Just do whatever you work with best.
Generation 6 Pokémon aren't allowed yet. They will be come October 12th, though. They're allowed now!
Your character cannot have moves or abilities the can't have in the actual games. Not entirely sure what moves and abilities a Pokémon can or can't have? Bulbapedia is a good place to look it up.

Welcome to Duskawn, a land inhabited only by Pokémon! There are many legends in this land, such as the Mirage of Bluescale Coast, and an ancient civilization known as the Other Ones. You're a young Pokémon, and you've decided to leave your home area to explore. What will you find? Who will you meet?

Locations in Duskawn

Starwing Plains

Around the southeast of Duskawn in a vast, grassy area. It is known as Starwing Plains, as many Starly gather there. Some other Pokémon gather there, mostly Normal and Flying types, but Electric Pokémon are quite common here.

Southern Ice

To the south of Duskawn is a cold sea. Despite the low temperature, and harsh blizzards in winter, many Water and Ice types thrive there. There been sightings of a Pokémon that looks like the Mirage of Bluescale Coast (more on that later) here.

Eevee can evolve into Glaceon here.

Forest of Moonlight

Near Starwing Plains is a forest where many Grass, Poison, and Bug types gather, with the occasional sighting of Dark types. At night, the moon shines brightly in a clearing in the middle of the forest.

Eevee can evolve into Leafeon here.

Ruins of the Other Ones

In the southwest is a strange area consisting of many stone structures. According to legends, this area was once inhabited by the Other Ones. Most of the Pokémon found here are artificial Pokémon, such as Golurk and Voltorb, but many Ground and Rock types can be found here as well.

Bluescale Coast

At Bluescale Coast, to the east of Duskawn, a strange mirage Pokémon has been sighted in the sea. It has been described as a "blue, Serperior-like figure". Pokémon of various types gather here.

Sunrise River & Lake of Sunrises

The northwestern Sunset River leads to the Lake of Sunrises, said to be the best place in Duskawn to view the sunrise. Many Pokémon, of various types, live in the surrounding area, and many Water types live in the lake.

Mountainside Path

About a mile or two away from Bluescale Coast is a rugged, rocky path, leading to Starwing Plains. Various Pokémon come here to test their skills. Many Fighting types are native to the area.

Magneton can evolve into Magnezone here.
Nosepass can evolve into Probopass here.

Central Desert

In the middle of Duskawn, close to the Ruins of the Other Ones, is a harsh desert. Despite the conditions, many Ground and Fire type Pokémon have managed to survive here. Part of the Central Desert contains many palm trees.
