"Yes, thanks Lightpaw. The marigold here looks different from the ones back in the forest." Appleleaf said, feeling home stick for her old RainClan camp. "Let me know if you find anything else you think are herbs, we need all the herbs we can find right now." She walked a few steps past Lightpaw to another small clump of marigold.

Sephora purred, a rather smart young cat.
"Your missing the bristling fur and pinned ears, keep working on it. So, simply the fact of moving changes everything. Understandable."
She almost found this cat amusing, how he spoke of how things weren't theirs. But at the moment, they were. And until they moved once more they would be.
"This is your camp, and your territory no matter the duration there. If only being their for a certain period of time means that something isn't what you think is yours, then the other camps weren't yours either."
She paused, letting her own word be heard rather than spitting everything out and leaving the cat with no time to think of it. After all, a good response required the time to think of one.
"You may be here for a shorter length, but you are here. Just the same as you were back in the forest. The period of staying shouldn't determine everything. Of coarse you will move from here to a land that you are more comfortable and suited for, who wouldn't? But you haven't moved yet, you are still here in a land full of grass. And therefor this is your home for the time being, and this land should be just as important as the past one."
She then did a shrug-like gesture and said
"But why protect your homes? Why cause a fuss when you'll just leave?"

Lightpaw tilted her head, staring at the marigold. She patted it with a paw, unsure about how to pick it. She glanced over at Appleleaf, who now had her back to Lightpaw. Should she ask? Nah, can't be too hard. She looked back at the plant. Pushing the flower to the side with a paw, she could now see the stem. She leaned in, biting it carefully. The apprentice grimaced slightly at the taste--there was a reason cats didn't eat plants, she thought to herself. She bit through the stem, the weight of the flower causing it to fall over. She reached, picking it up and placing it to the side. She repeated the process for the other flowers on the plant, and then for a few branches of leaves for good measure. She wasn't sure if they were useful or not. Gathering the remains of the plant in a small pile to pick up later, she set out to search for more herbs.

[Just a tip, though; normally, only female cats can be calico/tortoiseshell. Male calicos are very rare, and usually infertile.
I guess it doesn't really matter. Just some trivia I learned in biology. x3]

By the way, which character was this form for?

Cloudstrike waited to see if Moonsong would go on the patrol with them.

Pebblerun watched every cat start to pad away. She made her way back to the main clearing. Spotting Eaglestar, she padded up to the she-cat. " So, Eaglestar. We are going to become Sunclan?" She asked, her tail laying neatly over her front paws.
